Clifton Mill

We went on a Monday in December and it wasn’t too crowded but it was definitely busy. We had to wait around 15-20 minutes outside in a line to be able to enter but once we were in it, it was definitely worth it! All of the different displays were amazing and my family loved the light show! They even had Santa in his workshop where he would wave to everyone who looked in! My family was blown away by the light display and will definitely return visiting again next year! This light display is a must see and everyone should visit at least once in their life!!

Tony Vanoy & I went to Ohio today August 19, 2020 to see the Historical Clifton Mills built-in 1802. It is a 5 story building located along the Miami River that runs through the Clifton Gorge Nature Park. The Mill is free to walk around. There are other outside buildings including a covered bridge. There is a gift shop, restaurant and you can take a half hour tour for $3 Great place to visit. They also WON the Christmas Light Competition on TV last season. Definitely recommend all to visit.

Lights were really pretty. Went on a Thursday before Christmas to try and avoid big crowds but it was still crazy. Lots of people not wearing masks even though it was highly crowded. They did limit numbers of people going in but didn't feel adequate. Left pretty quickly cause it felt unsafe. Might go back in a non-pandemic year. Honestly the best unobstructed view of the lights was from the road as we drove past.

This mill is beautiful and holds a lot of history from the town of Clifton. The views of the river and old water wheel were incredible and make this a nice scenic stop. The gift shop contains pancake and other bakery mixes made at the mill (we bought pancake mix) which adds to the authenticity of this historical site. Located across the street is the original black smith shop in Clifton. Overall, we enjoyed the stop and enjoyed getting a taste of historical small town Ohio.
