Hot Sauce williams was a planned pit stop for us on our road trip north east. It was very good. My favorite was the fried chicken... The breading/crust reminded me of crispy tempura. Mind you there is no air conditioning so if you are there in the summer like we were youll sweat your bum off. Ill defintely return. Enjoy.

It only garners the second star due to their fried chicken being tasty and moist. Other than that it was very disappointing. I love old dives with good food, but they were extremely slow, out of cole slaw, out of mac'n cheese, out of diet Cokes or diet anything. I had the all white chicken breast meal, which oddly didn't include a drink, when the other meals did. I had them put their name sake sauce on both my chicken and the fries. Their sauce is more of a tomato sauce with perhaps some puréed bell pepper and onion cooked in, and some sugar. Although I usually like non-traditional takes on things, I would not rank this one in my top 50 list of sauces. Others in my group and their comments: Polish Boy (said it was ok), brisket (was pulled from a small bucket and was cold and mushy), hot wings (cooked well in advance and completely cold, and fried okra (nothing to write home about). Seriously, what kind of self respecting BBQ place runs out of cole slaw and mac'n cheese at 11:30am after they just opened the doors?

Good comfort food. The chicken was awesome, and the polish boy was excellent! Ribs were only OK, but it was still a great meal to share with the gang.

Amazing Po Boys, and without hyperbole the best wings I have ever had. This plays rocks. Drove from Baltimore and was looking for some Soul food. Did not disappoint. Prices were very reasonable and our server was super friendly!

What a disappointment this place was. I heard from several locals, as well as great reviews online that this place was incredible. This place is in the middle of the hood. Nothing wrong with that, but the place itself looked like a dilapidated shack. The building, parking lot, signage, doors, chairs, counters pace, everything was dirty, dingy and dank. On top of that, THERE WAS NO ONE THERE! When I first pulled up, I though they were closed, there was one car in the lot and the lights were very low. For a place that has reached national levels of notoriety, I would expect it to have at least a few people there. The service. Horrible. The girl at the counter was extremely disrespectful and had a stank attitude. I really debated walking out but since I had been excited for the food all day and drove for 25 mins to get it, I had already put in enough emotional investment to stick it out. Lastly, the food. I'm from a place in NY state where "Garbage Plates" are a local food legend. The "Polish Girl" was Ohio's equivalent. It wasn't good. It was a just a mess of food. The collards, not good either. I wanted to try the potato salad, but they said it wasn't available. I didn't dare touch any of the other meats because they looked like they'd been sitting out for quite some time. The menu I read from was literally a white piece of paper that had crunchy bits and sauce all over it, from so many people touching it. What a disappointment this place was. Save your money and time. Don't bother to go.

I was not impressed with the food but the sauce was delicious. My chicken had been sitting all day and tasted stale. The menu said "sweet potato fries" but they had none. I could done better on the mac n cheese myself. Not really affordable for what I received

It's good enough. People say the best soul food in town. I'd say a firm maybe, I haven't had much in Cleveland. Overall the sauce was weak, tasted like something you'd get at taco bell. Chicken was good. Polish boy was underwhelming. It all tastes kind of like it came off of a gfs truck and was heated up.
