Pie Guys' Pizza

The pizza was half cooked. Not cut well. When i attempted to pick it up. The topping slid off. Very greasey. Very disappointed that i drove from Lexington to try. Beware menu not correct. It listed pizza sub. Once I tried to order, I was told they did not sell pizza sub, I showed the employee their posted menu online and he said hummm. Avoid as you will be disappointed.

I have been a regular customer here for years, and we ate at Pie Guys a couple of times a month at least. Sometimes once a week. The cashiers knew us by name. I am very sad to say that the new ownership/management have made sure we will never eat there again. We placed an online order for 2 subs and a personal sized pizza. Arrived at the store 20 minutes later expecting to wait for a few minutes. I waited for over an HOUR in the restaurant while they filled orders that came in after mine. All sorts of excuses. I was told "your pizza is next" about 6 times. The manager argued with me that the other customers had put their orders in online as though I was a walk-in, and spoke to me like I was inconveniencing him. This was after another employee had already acknowledged my online order, but claimed it came in 20 minutes later than it was actually placed. Total chaos. After demanding my money back they finally gave me my order. I got home with cold food that had obviously been sitting around in the back somewhere. The subs were HALF a sandwich at best. Not what they used to be when I'd ordered them in the past. The food tasted good, but it wasn't worth the hassle. Not a single employee I recognized from the "old days". It breaks my heart but I will not be going back.

I have read reviews mentioning new ownership, well this was our first ever experience eating their food, no matter who owned it. When ordering delivery online, I noticed they had a long delivery time but I thought, man their food looks so good, I am willing to wait. So we waited and it was delivered right around the time approximated. It was delivered hot and smelled delicious. I open my box and the cheese to my cheese pizza had taken a wild ride (no worries I dragged it back in place with a fork). I thought to myself "man this pizza better be good". WELL IT WAS!!! ABSOLUTELY YUMMY!!!! We will be back!!! thanks Pie-Guys

I had NY style pizza in NYC and Chicago. This is by far the best NY pizza I had. The taste is superb and the crust just right and not floppy at all. As for the facility itself, it is a small quaint place with a homey feeling. The owner pays attention to its customers in person to guarantee the best customer experience. Like they described it in their “quest”, this will be our go to for Friday nights pizza.

First time eating here. Waited an hour and got the wrong pizza. When I brought it to the cashiers attention, she offered to make another pizza. I explained I didnt have time to wait another hour, could I please have a refund. I had eaten half a slice and my husband ate 2 slices. He was hungry and was going to eat whatever. And at first, I was too. But it wasn't that good, honestly. As I'm standing at the register returning this random pizza for a refund, this very smart mouth young lady said, "most people asked for a refund before they eat half the pizza". Wow, so you make me wait an hour for the wrong pizza and then smart off? Definitely want be back

This was my first experience eating at this restaurant, and getting delivery. Overall I would order again, and it was actually really good. The sweet honey cream was delicious! But - a few issues I did have was I received the wrong order. I had to do a custom Large pizza because they don’t just have pepperoni, so I had to do 1/2 cheese on both sides and “whole pepperoni” well they only gave me half pepperoni even though I paid for whole. The pizza compared to pictures others have shared, also seemed a bit thin. I added pictures for context. Overall like I said though, it’s really good pizza even for the pizza being wrong.

When new ownership comes in, I try to be patient until the dust settles. Well the dust has settled and I will no longer eat here. 2 of the last 3 orders I have placed have been wrong. Tonight, I came in, a rude employee took my order and 30 minutes later I was told it was in the oven...as I watched them make the order (after searching for it...they lost it). I asked for a refund and they gave it to me, but were kind enough to keep the tip I had put on the card. Service and food suck!

Original review from 7/2021: Fantastic local pizza shop! It reminds me of my uncle’s pizza place in my hometown! Delicious, fresh, fast pizza and yummy dipping sauce. The originally owner was super friendly and takes the time to get to know his customers. This will definitely be a regular place for my family now! Note from 6/2022: I have not yet been since the new management has taken over and cannot speak to the quality/experience under them.
