Chicken Shack

In what planet is it okay to serve your customers burnt potatoes? I was not able to eat these obviously very burnt potatoes! I come here often and usually love the food but last week was horrendous. My husband picked up for us and I was so excited for the buttered potatoes (my favorite item) only to receive BURNT potatoes. I know the staff butter the potatoes after the cooks fry them, how can two people decide that serving this was okay? This is with flash by the way, imagine how absolutely burnt they look without the added lighting. I’m highly disappointed.

I was so excited to visit this restaurant. It's a favorite of mine that is not available outside of Michigan, so while I was in town I didn't miss the opportunity to stop in and get a carry out. I was so excited to finally get to savor my favorite BBQ chicken, that I rushed back to my place without first checking the order. When I got to my destination, I was disappointed to find my chicken completely naked. I returned to the restaurant where the cashier offered me sauce to dip the chicken into 😕...That's kinda not how it goes. They did remake my order by taking the chicken that I had, redipping it in grease, and then coating it in the sauce. It wasn't the taste that I was longing for at all. Honestly, I was disappointed. Next time I'm in Michigan, I will try again though. Maybe a different location.

I’m not sure how serious the owners are taking the Coronavirus, none of the staff had on a mask. At the least, they shouldn’t be chit chatting over the food as they’re preparing orders. I’m sorry but I don’t want a sprinkle of spit, boogers, sweat, as they’re touching all over their face in the process, as well.

Food was okay. Customer service was utterly disgusting. Visited the Clawson location 5/16/22 around 4:35-4:45 pm. The two older women was very rude and nasty. I asked for extra sauce, and to sub two of my drink for coleslaw since they only have one sugar free drink option. The first lady threw my coleslaw and sauce in the bag and had a bad attitude. So I asked for the manager which is the other older woman and the first lady was fussing at me still while I was talking to the manager. While addressing the manager, I guess I was bothering her so she proceed to tell the other lady she is putting in her 2 weeks. I have been a chicken shack customer for years and never had this experience before. It’s honestly sad.

Chicken Shack is the Best, just fried deliciousness. I have had just about everything on the menu been coming to Chicken Shack for years. The only thing that I have not tried is The Grilled chicken. I hear it is pretty good as well. My favorite menu items are the English cod and The Chicken Bites. Their Broasted Potatoes are fantastic. I do have to bring up the time I was in Chicken Shack, and this lady came in asking for healthy options. I found this to be hilarious. because it is Chicken Shack
