It is a pretty good place with a fun vibe and a unique Asian-Mexican fusion cuisine. I went with my friends and they were a fan of all the drinks that they ordered. We absolutely loved their Mexican Pad Thai. I also got the tofu and grilled chicken tacos which I felt could have been better but they were not bad. They also have enough vegetarian options as well.
This place has an unbelievable vibe, bright colours and creative furniture. I loved their fusion upon fusion menu, but while the apps were stellar (guac, zucchini fries, and one of the cheese things) the entrees (ramen, fajitas) were just fine. It strangely bland compared to our expectations based on the menu description. Still highly recommend, it might have just been an off night! I was only visiting but I'd go back in a heartbeat.
Food was delicious! The Perfect Margarita was yummy and well balanced. I will be back.
We ordered carryout through the online system. It was quick and easy to use. We ordered:
1. Shrimp 🌮 - this was prepared well and enhoyable. (4/5 🌟)
2. Fish 🌮 - this was the best taco we had here. Fresh ingredients and well prepared fish. (5/5 🌟)
3. Drunken brisket 🌮 - this was really good. However, the meat needed a little more tenderness (4.5/5 🌟)
4. Chipotle chicken 🌮- I am not sure where this fell down, but the chicken seemed overcooked, and the flavor profile was not as good as the other tacos. (2/5 🌟)
5. Barbacoa Banh Mi - this didn't travel well as the bread fell apart. (2/5 🌟)
I would visit again but to dine in vs. carryout. Their menu is large, so I would to try some other dishes.
Customer service was great. I didn't get names unfortunately, but everyone was so nice and helpful while I waited for my takeout order last night. Can't say really anything about the atmosphere cuz I didn't sit down and take it in. But even though I ordered 30 minutes before close, everyone greeted me with a big smile. The flauntas were amazing, the queso and in house chips were to die for; chipotle chicken taco, carne asada taco, barbacoa taco, and the birria quesadillas were so flavorful and juicy. Someone's got their abuelita's recipes and is putting them to great use. Only $45 all for a family of three to grub. Fantastic. 10/10
Great service at this vibrantly energetic space. Coconut Mai Tai was a lovely opener—pleasantly sweet. Shrimp & Fish Ceviche Asiático is a refreshing delightful, starter paired with zucchini fries, and Sriracha aïoli, sprinkled with queso fresco.
The MOFONGO with shrimp is outstanding ✨⭐️⭐️Served along with the house salad- Unique and throughly unexpected in taste and the sheer satiating comfort. I could not help relishing the texture of the warm plantain😋 with the spicy Sirarcha Mayo. Shrimp was perfectly grilled.
The Valentine Special Dessert of Passionfruit Mousse cake — unbelievable! Loved every bite of the not-too-sweet texture. A definite competition to the delicious Tres Leches Cake.
Definitely cannot wait to try some other Vegan choices on LALO’s menu. Until next time…
My meal was great (mexi bimibop) and my boyfriend enjoyed it as well even though he is not vegetarian. However, our spring roll appetizer came out frozen and they did not offer to comp it. My boyfriend tried the birria ramen and it was very fatty and unappetizing. I would give them another chance for a vegetarian option.
Excellent experience! Our server was very personable and knowledgeable of the menu. She made sure our drinks were full and that our food was served right (we had an allergen at our table). The bartender was polite and talked with our table as well! Great atmosphere and unique food fusions.
Definitely wanting to return here again!
Strawberry margaritas were delicious and had a nice sugar rim on the cups with cute paper straws. My friends ordered Burritos and stated that they were delicious, but would have proffered them as a bowl, which they plan on getting next time. My dish was the favorite of the table. The Udon with carnitas was absolutely fantastic. Unique dish with great blend of flavors. I got mine without peppers or onions. I will be back for this dish sooner rather than later. Great experience.
Intrigued by the menu, decided to have dinner here and was super happy I did.
Ordered the pork and kimchi dumplings, plantain fries, mexi spicy miso ramen and a strawberry Lalo margarita. All so good! Our waiter was very friendly and attentive, gave us great recommendations and would check on us periodically. If you are in the area, it is definitely worth a try!
