I’ve probably driven by Ruthai’s Thai Kitchen a thousand times. I don’t know why I didn’t stop sooner. Thankfully, I came to my senses one night when we were driving hungry; we made a last minute decision to finally stop! Hallelujah, am I glad. The restaurant is roomier inside than it appears. It’s basically divided into two sections. The first section includes more traditional style seating with low tables and oversized pillows. I gotta say, I kind of enjoy taking my shoes off and getting cozy; I won’t swear to being graceful with the landing though!
Best Thai in town! Try the Mango Chicken &Shrimp curry!
We get take out once a week and are never disappointed. Owners are always very kind🙂
I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai it was great. I have had Pad Thai at three other Thai restaurants in the Cincinnati area and they don't compare. Ruthai's Pad Thai had a cheaper price, larger portion so you have leftovers, and it had a better taste. If you had never tried Thai food you have to visit this restaurant first.
I am a Thai food fanatic, and I was not disappointed by this place. They let you bring your own alcohol and the servers were nice. I love the Japanese-style tables, although you don't have to sit on the floor if you choose not to! My pad woon sen was filled with a variety of wonderful vegetables.. A great plus! My only complaint was my "very hot" dish was not quite spicy enough for me.
Super Yummy. That is all.
Yummy!. My husband and I went there the other night for dinner and were not dissappointed! You have to try the spring rolls...wow! The place was crowded (next time, we go on a week night!) but overall will be back.
A-MAZING!!!. Wow! Went to Ruthai's about a week ago with a group of 6. It was a Friday evening and the place was pretty packed. Definitely would recommend making a reservation as we ended up sitting on cushions on the floor around the table. The service was great! It's BYOB, so be sure to bring your own drinks. We ordered Pad Thai, and Thai Basil and some sushi. I'm not much of a Pad Thai fan in general, so I can't say much for the Pad Thai. However, the Thai Basil was incredible! This is a cute little place with great food and great prices! Highly recommend it!
Their pad thai is some of the best in the country. I also love their sushi, summer rolls, and mushroom hot and sour soup. My go to asian restaurant. Obsessed.
LOVE ruthai. The food is amazing. My favorite is the mango curry chicken and shrimp. Never had a bad visit here.
Thai It On!!!. Best Thai in Cincy. Freshest ingredients I've tasted. Currys are phenomenal. I've never been a huge rice eater, but when I'm done with the "meat" of the curry, I dump the rest of the sauce over whatever rice I have left (and yours too) and gobble it all up. Eat it, believe it.
Very very very good food. Went a little crazy and got a bit of everything. The Golden sheets were crispy and piping hot. The hot and sour soup had a flavor I've never had before, just a touch of sweetness and it was amazing. The summer rolls were fresh with crisp veggies and the peanut sauce for dipping was perfection. My pad thai had amazing spice! My friend enjoyed both her wonton soup and fried wontons which both also came out piping hot. Their lunch menu prices are fantastic with large portions. $46 for everything pictured!
Great restaurant! The papaya salad is delicious! The Thai iced coffee is amazing! I highly recommend it!
A cozy, laid back restaurant with incredible flavor and personality. We sat at the low tables where you sit cross-legged and eat. We started with soup, and my hot and sour soup tasted like authentic tamarind was used. My wife had the coconut shrimp soup, which was delectably seasoned and sweet. Our entrees were amazing! The grilled salmon in green curry was delicious, just the right amount of spiciness, and the salmon was perfectly cooked. The yellow curry with duck was sweet, tangy, and flavorful. In a stroke of genius, the yellow curry had pineapple in it! The duck was crispy, delicious, and plentiful.
Overall, a great place for casual, fair priced food.
We loved the ambience, the seating arrangement low to the ground which is nice. Food was flavorful and perfect on spice level. All the food we ordered was just yumm. Good veggie options. Definitely a dine-in experience.
Best Thai food in Cincy! I’ve been searching for good Thai food for so long and finally got to try this! Basil duck is highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️:The duck meat was so tender, juicy and flavorful!!! Soft crab green curry is also a perfect dish for seafood lover ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: watch out! This is probably the only restaurant you can get crab in curry so don’t miss it! Will come back very soon!!!
Chose this place randomly and was sceptical before entering. But to our surprise it turned out pretty good! Little bigger than a hole in the wall with exceptional interior which gives a cozy atmosphere. Sushi was the best item that we ordered. Very balanced sushi taste and you would feel like eating one after the other. We ordered shrimp tempura, but the amount of tempura was very less. I would come again at least for their sushi! Red curry was not overwhelming with coconut milk and tasted good. They did not charge for extra rice. Pineapple fried rice and noodle items also taste really good. Their spice level is 1-4. We ordered 4 and it was not mouth burning spicy but still spicy. The thai bubble tea helped to cool down the spice. I have had better than what I ate here but this restaurant is pretty decent and very balanced with taste:price:portion. Their restaurant was not dirty and staff were helpful. Street coin parking.
Great authentic Thai food. I had the red curry without the coconut milk and it was fantastic. Service is good and very polite. The place is small but very comfortable with one section for traditional seating. Brown or Jasmine rice are standard and do not cost extra, something most Asian restaurants do not offer, or charge extra for them. That is a huge plus for me. My wife had the stir fried pineapple with chicken and it was great. Prices are reasonable. I highly recommend this place to satisfy your Thai food cravings.

Check this place out! It's easy to miss, but my friend and I had dinner there recently and can't wait to go back. The interior is very cozy and welcoming. The service was attentive and kind. The food was absolutely great. I had pad wood sen and now I'm in love with mung noodles. My friend got wonton soup and said it had the silkiest noodles she'd ever had. The portions were large enough to pack leftovers, and our bill was not expensive at all. There's also a huge menu, and lots of vegetarian options (and they know how to rock that tofu!) Highly recommend, I look forward to being a long time repeat customer.
Great food. Can be spicy if you go for top level spice. Be warned. Friendly staff and they will make sure to warn you of the spice too.
Very nice atmosphere. The food was phenomenal and the service awesome. There are some standard tables and then a row of traditional Thai tables. It can be crowded at times so make sure you plan ahead if you have a certain date or time in mind and the place is cozy. Biggest issue is finding parking in Mt. Lookout. Be prepared to walk but it’s 100% worth it.
