Ross & Sandy,
It was fortuitous making your acquaintance at Mt. Carmel Brewing this afternoon and having you turn Mope & I onto Mio's. We had fried ravioli and the absolutely fabulous sauceless veggie pie -- the roasted garlic was to die for! The beer selection was phenomenal and we'll be back soon when Happy 2 is on the market. Thanks for beers! Definitely worth the trip over the river & through the woods.
Amazing customer services! The food is incredible. The beer selection is good, the stuffed garden pizza is amazing, the gluten free options are fantastic and the servers and staff are fun and friendly.
My family and I really like the chewy thin crust pizza at Mio's. The Anderson location is the one closest to where we now live, so this is the one we dine at most often. The wife is very fond of the steak hoagies, which are offered in two sizes and in both the pizza sauce and brown gravy varieties She also likes the calzones, although I dislike them because they dont include ricotta cheese in the filling. My personal favorite, and what I think sets Mios part from most of pizzerias in the area, is the stuffed crust pizza, which is a very authentic reproduction of the stuffed crust pizza of Chicago, a close cousin of the Chicago deep dish pizza.
They have a long running no-coupon early-week special of a large cheese pizza for 9.99, which I recommend.
They have some other sandwiches, some salads, a couple of soups, and desserts -- but for the best experience here, i recommend sticking with the pizza
Great taste, good proportions I love the Mr. Meaty calzone.
This place was very good. One of my favorite things was that for the kids they had a paper table cover they could draw on with crayons. The staff was very friendly and our server was very attentive. We got a cheese deep dish, a sausage deep dish, some pepperoni French bread pizza for my son and lasagna with garlic bread for my daughters friend. All of it was very good but the sausage deep dish was out of this world. We spent about $75 plus tip on it. The price is the only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars but it is worth it to go here every now and then. I'll definitely be back.
First time trying and we loved it. We did an call in order when we got there it was hot an ready. Next we come back to visit this place we will be back
We have always loved Mio’s Spinach Suffed pizzas and fresh salads. Pairing it up with great beer at Happy 2, can’t be beat!
My husband and I tried Mio’s for the first time, on Friday night. Great spot for date night. The four cheese pizza was delicious. A size medium was perfect for the two of us to split. Drawing on the tablecloths brought out our inner child. Family friendly atmosphere, clean restaurant and kind staff. Highly recommend!
This is a COVID era review. All protocols were in place.
Mio's has a delicious stuffed pizza that you don't want to miss. The crust is fantastic--sturdy and crispy. The sauce is tangy and not overwhelming. The ingredients we had were in perfect proportion. They make it Chicago style, with the sauce on top.
The cheese is stretchy and firm.
Our server Bryan was efficient and had a good personality. He was attentive and prompt.
Mio's has a micro brewery, and offers several local faves. I'm not a craft beer guy, but I posted a pic of the titles for that day. They seem playful and exotic, and I'm sure they offer the craft beer enthusiast some memorable indulgences.
There was plenty of parking, and Bryan happily shared the wifi password. I counted six TVs that had college football games on.
The restaurant is the only eatery at an intersection with a gas station convenience store and a drug store, so I hope it enjoys for a long time to come it's status as the only place for a few blocks to eat. They deserve it, and they deserve for you to drop in and get some really good pizza.
UPDATE: We are regulars here now. We love to take our little dog to the outdoor seating in nice weather. There are two outdoor areas, one covered by the dining area and one open area with picnic tables by the bar area.
One of the best you'll find in the area. A classic. Great pizza.
Great place for Friday night pizza in the neighborhood. Great menu with something for everyone. Good fresh food and great service. Live music too!
The pizza is amazing. Staff is great. The only issue is if you plan on eating inside. You risk losing phone service. It's not a huge deal if you get in and eat. Then leave. My experience would be so much better if I had signal on my phone
Still the best pizza in all of Cincinnati! The Chef Special with sesame seeds is exceptional. The wait staff is attentive and very nice. I told the owner that it felt like we were at a party at a restaurant, everyone was smiling and having a great time. A must stop whenever you are able.
I love the stuffed pizza, the salad is wonderful--full of different veggies, and the house Italian dressing is so good, but I've noticed the dressing has been watered down. Otherwise, I do enjoy it here. The service has always been super friendly.
