First time trying BrewRiver Creole Kitchen and we received a welcoming greeting right away by the hostess and bartender. Our original plan was to grab a drink and appetizer before driving to The Precinct. After a couple minutes, we made an impulse decision to stay and give BrewRiver a longer visit. They have a nice craft beer selection on draft. We enjoyed the chicken and sausage gumbo and Pasta Monica we ordered. BrewRiver has indoor and outdoor tables. We sat at the bar and our food came out amazingly fast. The bartender was friendly and very accommodating. We plan to go back and try more menu items.
I really love this place. There has been live music every time we’ve been there, which makes for an awesome atmosphere. It’s not the same as going to New Orleans, but about as close as it gets. I love the Gumbo and rice, get it every time.
Our server was amazing! Upon learning this was our first visit, she went through the menu with recommendations.
Side note: if your server makes recommendations, get that thing! They’ve tasted everything on the menu, so they know what’s up.
She said the chef is straight from NOLA - and you can taste it! R had fried catfish, which is one of his favorites. I had the pasta Monica. If you love creole (or want to try it) definitely give them a visit.
Such a great place!
I drove by for months until finally got to try the place out last week.
It definitely has a great atmosphere with live music daily. We've got to enjoy some nice jazz on a Friday night.
Their food is delicious with generous portions. It's all made from scratch from locally sourced products. Which you for sure can taste.
The weekly special with salmon was incredible! I fell in love with it and hope it will become a part of the regular menu.
The service is nice too. She was knowledgeable and gave us great advice on the menu. The food came back promptly.
Will be back 100%
This place is a gem. Imagine a neighborhood saloon atmosphere, but with fun New Orleans food instead of the usual burger + fries, and live music to boot! Good prices, generous but not oversized portions, and friendly service.
First time here and had a great experience! The decor is so cozy and our waitress was super friendly and attentive! We got the Jumbalaya and the Pasta Monica with subbed veggies and both were so delicious! The potions were very big so we have lots of leftovers. The booths are private and have comfy cushions. It's in a nicely renovated older building. They had live music, playing blues and classic rock songs that added great ambiance without being too loud. The menu has great creole favorites but healthy options are hard to find. The cocktails were delicious but pricy! We're definitely coming back soon!
I absolutely loved my first experience here!! I’ve spent some time in Eunice Louisiana so I know this place is legit!! Summer was the best server she made us feel so welcome and admitted her day job was a teacher!!! Go summer!! Everyone was so welcoming there making sure our experience was the best ever (and it was)!! Everything was amazing there from the pb&j beer , to the gumbo appetizer, to the Pasta Monica, to the bread pudding … it was all delicious. Thank you for a wonderful Friday date night!!
The service was excellent! (I'm sorry, I can't remember his name🤔) The food -delicious! We hadn't ever dined there before and we wanted to check out the live music. The pork rinds were awesome! They were still popping a little when brought to the table. My husband had the chicken dinner with their cole slaw and I had their black bean and chick pea burger with the slaw. Great food! Desserts are wonderful, too! Our server was very helpful, patient and very attentive (without hovering). A really nice date night!
We went during restaurant week. The waitress was great. They probably needed more staff behind the scene as it took a long time to get the food and drinks. The 2 piece chicken breasts, 1st one was perfect, the 2nd one was a little dry and tough but very tasty. The gumbo was great. The blackened catfish basket was very tasty, not too spicy, nice flavor. This came with fries which were good but now that I think of it, it would have been better paired with dirty rice. The hot chocolate brownie was perfect. Definitely worth going back. Don't be in a hurry to get somewhere afterwards.
This is one of the best hidden Gem's in the greater Cincinnati area. Amazing, spectacular flavors will pop your taste bud's. I cant say enough about this really wonderful restaurant with a full bar, outside seating and great service!!
