It was AWESOME! There was a substantial wait time, but it was well worth. We had smoked chicken wings, pork belly and ribs. Each and every thing was perfect. The smoked chicken was awesome! The pork belly was literally melt-in-the-mouth. Their BBQ sauce is out of the world Delicious! And the ribs... So so good. Just the right balance of dry rub seasoning and BBQ sauce. I am told the Texas style brisket is their speciality... We will be trying that next time!
We don't usually eat BBQ out, because we do it so well at home. We were visiting friends who wanted to try this place so we said why not. Great choice. The brisket was extremely tender and flavorful. The cheddar bacon grits were very savory and creamy. The bourbon selection was exceptional, and there were several other selections on the menu that were very well done. The atmosphere is cool, and the service was very good, quick and friendly.
The food is exceptional, the service wasn’t the greatest.
Ribs and brisket both cooked great, intense smoky aroma. Both house sauces are delicious and keep you coming back for more. Grits are solid as well. Seems like they have a good selection of beers and cocktails while the whiskey selection is clearly deep. I’d come back to try more stuff and hope that the service is better.

Man, I can't say enough good things about this place. Trey, our waiter was great! His recommendations were spot on. Brisket was exceptional my only comment is get lean brisket and not fatty which was on me for ordering it. The brisket was tender and well seasoned, it didn't need anything. The wings were next level perfectly seasoned and smoked no ranch or other BBQ sauce needed. Fried pickles were note worthy, huge portion size, sauce was outstanding as well. The sauce at the table came in two style pepper and spicy both were delectable, the spicy one wasn't overly spicy but had a kick to it. All in all this place is definitely worth a visit.
Overall, I had a good experience. The service seemed rushed a little. I was excited that our food came out quickly but didn't really get to enjoy the nachos before the entrées came out. The food was delicious but a little on the cold side. Pork sandwich was very good. I suggest dumping your coleslaw on top of your meat! Cole slaw was a little too bland, though. Would definitely visit again!
BEST WINGS IN CINCY!!! Get the dry rub with the sauces on the side. The fries are also to die for. I’m a fan of fried pickles, but these are pretty unique. Far too much breading for my pre fence. We also had one of the better customer service experiences I’ve had in awhile. Pro tip: I tried to go back on a weekend night and they close pretty early.
I got take out from here and was surprised by how well my sandwich travelled. I got just the regular pulled pork sandwich with a side of fries. The sandwich was great! The meat wasn’t too dry, the sauce was incredible, and everything came together really well. As someone who enjoys spice, I wouldn’t mind a “hot” bbq sauce and a vinegar coleslaw, but it worked nonetheless. The fries were very disappointing however. They weren’t crispy and unseasoned. Granted the crispness could’ve been compromised by the steam from the box, so I’ll let that slide. But they were just unremarkable. I expected regular housemade shoestring and the crinkle cut makes me think they were bought frozen, so disappointing. Great sandwich, sad fries, quick service, cool neon signs. Definitely get a platter here and maybe a different side. I would definitely come back if I was in the area!
Having eaten BBQ all over TX, Carolinas and Nashville, I was pleasantly surprised to find good BBQ in Cincinnati, at Pontiac. Our group of 5 ordered one of everything and left bloated and happy. Very casual pub atmosphere with friendly service and great prices.
Amazing food! I was brought in by the wings, but all the sides are delicious too! I’m not usually a huge fan of wings but these were so crispy on the outside, tender on the inside and literally pulled off the bone with no effort! We also go the fried pickles and curly fries — so delicious! Definitely good sized portions so order accordingly. We’ll definitely be back to try more things. Also they had super quick service and really friendly staff. (Apologies for the half eaten food picture — it was just too good to wait!)
Some of the BEST barbecue I've ever had. No joke. Probably the best brisket I've ever eaten. I've had BBQ in Tennessee, Kentucky, Texas, and New York. None of them were as good as anything I had here.
Also this was the only restaurant on the street without a long wait for a table. The drinks were all custom and amazing.
For my money this was the best restaurant I've been too in downtown Cincinnati. Will always stop here when ai come through the area.
