Awesome menu. Perfect setting. Brilliant presentation. Great tasting dinner. Fabulous wait staff. And...all of that plus Jean Robert de Cavel in the kitchen. I could not ask for more, but I did...all of this in a very friendly, "non-stuffy" atmosphere. PERFECT! Put on your restaurant "bucket list" for sure.

Absolutely amazing. The food was spot on, the ambiance was great and staff was superb. Although expensive, you really are paying for the entire experience when you go here. Highly recommend for special occasions. Parking was really easy too and the views out the windows were also really neat.

Restaurant L was recommended to me as "the best chef restaurant in the Midwest" and I decided to make reservations for dinner to celebrate my husband's birthday. Every aspect of pur visit was absolutely SUPERB! We eat out a lot and consider ourselves foodies. We travel all over the country and the world and try local cusine as well as chef ran restaurants. This was by far one of the best chef's tasting menus we have ever had. We tried almost everything on the menu by getting the menu gourmand for one and the three course menu for the other. We ranked our dishes and compared the flavors. The food was spectacular. The scallop dish was our number one, followed closely by the duck, the foie gras and the lobster salad. The different textures and combination of flavors really played a fantastic orchestra on our palate and I absolutely adore the use of seasonal ingrediants. Radishes were featured in multiple courses and on a number of cooking techniques that was just exquisite. The service was beyond phenomenal and the entire atmosphere does not fall and even surpass some of the 3 Michelein star places in NYC and LA. This is not a casual dinner, it is an invesement in a culinary show that should be reserved for the most special occasions. We did not get to meet Chef Jean Robert unfortunately, but we will definetly be back to try the winter menu. I highly recommend this restaurant and have only praises to sing about the food. 5 stars!

The food was well prepared and beautifully plated but none of the dishes were particularly innovative or surprising. The conservatism of the menu may be due in part to the audience. I was astonished to hear one server explain to a table that he does not normally like lamb but enjoys Restaurant L's because it does not really taste like lamb. Our server was very knowledgable and attentive.

It's good portions are very very generous for this type of cuisine. 4.5 stars seems more correct, nice to have some new haute dishes to try, a lot of nice extras are thrown in and really the 2 course menu should leave you stuffed, the 3 course put us in a coma..

Excellent setting, modern yet very comfortable. The tables are spaced wide apart. The service is impeccable. The menu is outstanding — the type for me where I would have liked all if the options. I had the foi gras, scallop and duck. She had the beet salad and halibut. Bread excellent. Wine pairing excellent. Terrific for a special night out..

Probably my favorite meal in Cincinnati to date. This place provides the complete dining experience from beginning to end with ambiance, staff, food, and drink. My wife and I did the Menu Gourmand with wine pairing. Everyone was percent. Jean-Robert has set the benchmark for Cincinnati dining. If this restaurant was in Chicago, it would have at least one Michelin Star.
