After a busy day of exploring Cincinnati, it was time for a drink and some food. I let Guy Fieri lead the way and ended up at the OTR location of Bakersfield. Super busy with a queue for tables but I was able to get a seat at the bar immediately. Great service there and a full menu, so I'd recommend that for you.
Starting off with a plate of chips and salsa, the chips are delicious. Light with salt, served warm and with both red and green salsa. I think there's a hole in the bottom of the bowl because I looked down and they were gone. I'm not sure how that happened!
For second course, I got the roasted cauliflower which was awesome. Bathed in queso and some heat from the poblano peppers, it was delicious and quite filling. If there was "healthy" in here, it got swamped by the amazing cheese sauce. Yum!
And then third course, a short rib taco. It was insane. Loaded with braised short rib ad absolutely delicious.
I nearly forgot the classic margarita served in a Mason jar with a salted rim. It's good that I have a nice walk back to the van to sober up a bit before driving!
We absolutely loved this place!! Our server Brian was outstanding with service and recommendations!!! The pineapple margaritas were incredible!!! Guacamole was the best I’ve ever had with chunks of avocado!!! We really enjoyed the corn salad with our carnitas taquitos!!! 100% recommended!!!
BOOK THIS for any party! This was perfect for the vibe we were looking for! We wanted something more laid back and not so formal for our rehearsal dinner You could totally make this more formal- but that wasn't the style we were looking for. Our guests loved the whole experience. We had endless food, margs, and a rooftop! Thank you so much!
Buzzing Tacos + Cocktail destination which is a must visit while you’re in the Queen city.
Everything is fresh& tasty. Servers are genuinely nice & provide good recommendations.
My favorite were the spicy chicken tacos!
Drinks are good, tad sweeter but strong.
It’s a loud place inside if you don’t mind it. The ambiance inside could be better, brighter.
I have to say their tacos were amazing!! We had a huge platter of different sorts of tacos and I was in heaven!! They were all so good! We also had some chips and guacamole, of course, and the cauliflower side dish was delicious!!! I was also happy that they had my favorite drink, aperol spritz!
I went here for a event and the food was fabulous and the servers were excellent very knowledgeableand the drinks were lovely 😍 and very great thank you for the great service definitely would come back!!!!
If anyone loves ribs, I highly reccomend the short rib queso and the short ribs tacos! Chicken taquitas are great too!
Great place. My 1st Taco Tuesdays was awesome & service was surprisingly fast. The Guacamole was handmade,& tasty + the chips were warm. Pleasant staff counts and the drinks were delicious. I'll definitely return for more selections on there menu.
It was a great experience all around and the food was fantastic. Our waitress asked if it was our first time. When we said it was our first time she took the time to explain the menu. The food was delicious and fresh. The Short Rib Queso was very different, in a good way, and my husband said it was the best queso he has ever had. I added the sauce on the table to the short rib and Carnitas tacos and it enhanced the meat flavors. It did not overwhelm or hide them. The Pollo Diablo had a very strong flavor on it's own. It was great meal. I really liked there atmosphere as well. We live an hour and a half away and would actually drive that again for a repeat meal.
Don't usually review chain restaurants but this is a special case. This is the original location and it's regional. Fresh is the vibe you'll got from the start. Margaritas made to perfection and nice tequila selection. Tweaked up guacamole with fresh salsa was on point. I preferred the Roja. We tried the cauliflower sharable which was uniquely prepared. Taco street variety provided many nice options all good. The taquitos were outstanding crisp and flavorful. Even on a busy weekend night the service was outstanding.
