This was a great choice to celebrate our anniversary. Very romantic feel, attentive service and of course great food. I had the beef tenderloin and she had the lamb. My tenderloin was prefect and the addition of a great mushroom sauce just raised the flavor.

Unfortunately I'm not a wine person but their beer selection is excellent. Great experience and not to pricey.

Absolutely loved it. We had foie gras, escargot, rack of lamb and skate. Everything was INCREDIBLE. I wouldn't have changed one thing about our meal. Usually when you go to a restaurant there are some incredible moments and then some not as great dishes but everything was fantastic. I can't wait to go back! This is definitely my new go to restaurant for special occasions!

I can't imagine how I've so far neglected posting a rave review of Jean-Robert's Table, one of my longstanding Cincinnati dining favorites. JenH, whose review perfectly articulates my own experiences, reminded me of my omission. I would add only that skate wing is the entree not to be overlooked at JR's Table.

My friend and I had tickets to Cabaret and did not even think of dinner until the day before. Of course the typical places were booked and we decided to take a little walk and try something new. I was afraid this would be an over priced stuffy place. I was so wrong! The decor is eclectic and charming. The staff is well trained but welcoming and friendly. And the prices are high but the food is worth every penny. I ordered the haddock and my friend the scallops. We both were totally thrilled. I'm sure I'll be back!

I had heard about this restaurant on the Saturday CBS show and have been excited for some time to go, as I go to Cincinnati occasionally on business. We had high expectations and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is decorated wonderfully eclectic, and although it is fine dining, it was a casual bistro atmosphere. We started with a number of appetizers, including escargots, tartare and rabbit ravioli. All delicious with wonderful twists of taste. Main course was the duck, which was medium rare, juicy and just the right amount of fat. Chocolate mousse for desert was just decadent. Service was professional, attentive but not over bearing. Overall a great experience, will definitely be back.

World Class Dining. You have not eaten until you've eaten here. What a fabulous experience! Five star food served with five star service. I have found my new favorite restaurant. This a whole other level of dining. This is a Cincinnati treasure.

Jean-Robert's Table is a Cincinnati Treasure. Because nostalgia for Maisonette runs rampart in Cincinnati, comparisons to Jean-Robert's is misplaced and unwarranted. Jean-Robert's is a bistro, not a 3 star Michelin contender. The restaurant is representative of the bistronomy movement that is taking over Paris and Jean-Robert's is an incredible dining experience when taken within this context. Formality is out and casual fine dining is in. Any city, including Paris, New York, and San Francisco would love to have such classic and innovative French cooking in their midst. Jean-Robert is a master in the kitchen and his staff provides service with warmth and a smile. We choose to sit at the bar when we eat, as the tone and ambiance of the restaurant lends itself to a kind of gourmet "Cheers," if you will. (Sitting at the bar reminds us of the two star L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon in Paris where diners sit at a counter within sight of the open kitchen) Jean-Robert steps away from the stoves intermittently during service, shaking hands, greeting, and making sure his patrons are pleased and happy. This is not an absentee celebrity chef. Jean-Robert is a modern, creative chef, but he does not ignore the classics. His calves liver, onions and garlic mashed potatoes transport me to Paris every time and this dish is too difficult to sometimes avoid. However, we have tried many items from his menu and have enjoyed almost all of them. Remember, all good chefs experiment, and as often portrayed on "Top Chef," not all flavors match everyone's palate. The perfect restaurant for every person does not exist. I am thankful that Cincinnati has such great dining within a few blocks of downtown. Jean-Robert's stands as a little bit of Paris in the Queen City. It is to be treasured and deserves a much better rating on TripAdvisor.

Who are we kidding? Table is in a different class from Boca. Boca is terrific but too much hat not enough horse . Go to Table for the wine list alone. Mucho gusto. Heirloom tomato...speaks for itself. If salmon wrapped in bacon ever reappears, I'm camping out on the sidewalk. Jean Ro rules. The short menu speaks for itself. No balloons for the kids, just serious food. Only complaint, no serious coffee for after dinner. Yikes, where did they get the coffee? Need someone serious about coffee. Plain dark and strong is needed. Rock on, Table.

Love this place. Food is always consistently excellent. Service is always attentive and very good, but sometimes a little stuffy. A great value considering the quality of the meal.

I am absolutely loving it!  Love the atmosphere, decor, staff is super friendly and helpful.... but the food! Oh yes,  that's definitely a winner! I got the lunch tray and every single thing in it was superb. Elegant, refined, delicious and extremity well executed. Roasted carrot soup was decadent and creamy, the spinach, egg and mushroom salad light and complex, chicken crispy and tender with fingerling potatoes and haricots vert ... Simply stunning! Cannot wait to try the dinner menu

Our family came here for the lobster tasting menu; I opted to add the wine tasting. The lobster salad was a refreshing start to the meal. The chilled lobster contrasted to heat of the Banyuls vinaigrette. On the flip side, the vinaigrette overpowered any notes of grapefruit or avocado that were supposed to be present. Some members of the table noted how hot (spicy) the vinaigrette, but I thought it was reminiscent of the vinaigrettes I had in France. The lobster bisque was luxurious and bursting with flavor. The lobster meat in the bisque had an excellent garlic flavor. The bisque itself probably had a tad too much of a seasoning I can't pin down (seemed a bit more Cajun). The wine paired with this meal was excellent; the nose was strong and acidic but the palate was delicate, creamy, and had a hint of stone fruit. The red snapper...this is the reason why I didn't give 5 stars. It was not seasoned, I knew it from the first bite. And there was no salt on the table so I used the salted butter instead. Textures were appropriate, fish was cooked well, presentation was nice, but it was not seasoned properly. The Pinot that was served was a bad pour and contained sediment. I let our waiter know but told me it was normal. Shortly after this course, the waiter came back with another glass of Pinot, and acknowledged the error...nice save. The Pinot was delicious with fruit forward notes of jammed berries with a slight peppery note. The beef tenderloin was next; properly cooked and well seasoned. The sauces that were served with tenderloin were well made. Rich and creamy flavors. Nothing stood out but nothing fell flat either. The chocolate tower was for dessert. Delicious chocolate that wasn't overly sweet and a gold dusted macaron (interior tasted of hazelnut). Unfortunately I could not taste much pomegranate in this dessert...maybe it was more of a textural element. Service was polite and prompt from our main waiter. His support staff could use some work, the one young man would just come up at random and start taking/bringing plates without saying a word. Overall, I would come back to give it another shot. For the price, I was expecting more from the meal with some of the errors that were made.

At first I sat at the bar and I was ignored and I’m not sure if it was because I was alone or not dressed super nice, but I hate being ignored so I asked for a table because I was legit hungry. I’ve been traveling across the country on my way back from fighting wild fire in Oregon, I understand if I didn’t look great, but regardless maybe that’s me just being self conscious. Regardless, once I got a table my server was super nice and attentive and made some great recommendations, really nice wine pairing with the duck. I love French food.

My favorite is the duck Mac n cheese that's not on the menu. The duck breast and mille feuille were just ok. Service is very attentive.

This was such an amazing experience! I had dinner here on my birthday and cannot say enough about this place! First, the ambience is perfect. Nothing stuffy or pretentious about the decor, just warm and welcoming. Exposed brick around the walls of the bar and beautiful contemporary art hanging in the dining room area. White table cloths and a small candle on all the tables. The service here is some of the best I've ever experienced. We were offered still or Sparkling water upon arrival as soon as we were seated. Our waiter was so attentive and professional and we were very attached to him by the end of the meal. I ordered the 4 course meal and my date ordered the steak special. Everything was plated in the most delicious and beautiful way. The meal was one of the best I've ever had. They even placed a candle on my desert plate! I can't wait to come back.

The service is excellent! All of the food was awesome except the dessert. For paying what we were, I was expecting something amazing. We ordered the chocolate mousse and it came out on this bread that tasted stale. Out of the whole night, that was the only negative. The wait staff was great and answered all of our questions about the food and wines to pair with them. It's about $100 per person (not including tip and if you get a wine with each course). Overall we plan on going back, but we won't be getting the same dessert again. We would recommend this place as that one negative doesn't over power the rest.

My boyfriend and I celebrated two years of dating by eating at this restaurant. We’re from Indy and wanted to try something outside of our city. Jean’s was by far the best place we’ve eaten at! Not only is the ambiance soulful and classy, but the service is incredible and the food melts in your mouth. We recommend the lamb and the duck, as well as the Burgundy escargot for an appetizer. Steven was amazing, engaging, and fun! We will be back! Just over all big fans of Steven.

We had a wonderful date night at Jean Robert's table. We were greeted warmly when we arrived and taken right to our table. We had a delicious Qir Royal that was one of the best I've had. We started with appetizers -- my date had the goat cheese ravioli and I had the escargot. It was fantastic! For dinner, we had the scallops (they melt in your mouth) and the duck breast -- it reminded me of the food in the South of France -- so good. For desert, we had the chocolate mouse and the lemon mouse. My favorite part was the blood orange sorbet -- it was superb. Thanks Jean Robert and staff for a wonderful night

Always love it here. It's been over a year since the last time we've been. Used to visit much more frequently, but haven't had as much opportunity to dine here recently. Finally had the chance to and it did not disappoint. Decided to try some of the specials and not opt for our usual favorites and, as always, came away impressed. The presentation, taste, service, everything was great. Made us remember why we love Table so much and will be making a better effort to get back more often.
