Found this restaurant by accident when I was looking on google maps - Best place I’ve been to in Christchurch for ages it had really nice food incredible friendly service and a lovely atmosphere in an historic Lyttleton pub. Would definitely come back here again and probably will do before you have to start booking weeks out to go!

Loop musician was the highlight on the Sat night I attended. If there was no food or drinks, I would consider going for that alone. Off the charts good. Thay said, it is exactly what you would expect for where and what it is. Staff and food did not disappoint. Would definitely go back and recommend it to others. If you are too uptight and expect fast service, go to micky d"s, but if you want to take in the ambiance of the historical building and location with locals, I can't imagine a better way to spend a Saturday night in Lyttleton. It was an experience to remember for those who are not pretentious and like to mingle with the locals.

The restaurant is inside the historic British hotel on the corner. Entry is from the main road so a little confusing as it is not signed ... if not a local like me. Great atmosphere not too noisy. We had fun reading the handwriting on the menu. Staff helpful on selections and made sure we had enough to eat and drink.

Stopped in last night for mother's birthday. Not my usual go to style. However was very impressed. Food was top notch and reasonably priced. Waiter was very friendly and professional. Very chill atmosphere with live band. Would definitely go back. Also open till midnight which is handy! Great to see lytellton still has it!
