I would give 10 stars if possible. Food was incredible, fresh and delicious. We went for an early dinner. They made a pizza in the shape of a bunny for the 2yr old😁. We had starters of the crabcake and calamari that were so good we wanted to order more but waited until our main dishes. The black truffle ravioli was OMG scrumptious, as well as the black truffle pate pizza and pasta arrabiatta. Will definitely return. It’s a great lunch, dinner and date place. Family friendly.
Went on opening day for lunch after a big exam! Wonderful service, we had Ricardo as our waiter and he was excellent. All the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food was fantastic! I had a pizza that Ricardo recommended and it was delicious! Glad to have Nella on campus!
I have dined here several times and love it!! The service is always extraordinary with kind and attentive waitstaff.

This was a fantastic find on my trip visiting from California. Their pizza is the traditional Naples-style with soft crust. Excellent food and terrific service from Ricardo.
I ate the Amalfi Pizza, and the bruschetta di Burrata.
While I visiting Chicago, I also ate some deep dish at a couple of the popular pizza places, and I can say this pizza is much better.
A fun activity would be riding bikes from North Chicago along the river and stopping at this place for lunch.
Perfect place to enjoy authentic Neapolitan pizza! The quality of the pizza is in line with the best Italian restaurants in Chicago. However, it’s disappointing that they do not offer a Gluten free pizza option.
This place floored me with surprise. Yes I know that it is Michellin Bib Gourmand but the quality of the food is top notched and the portion is HUGE. When I got my pasta, I told my friend how can we finish them? However, it was so good that we wiped both pasta dishes out! Each dish has unique flavor. The seafood is so fresh. I never tasted mussels like this before: it is not rubberish at all. You can even taste the pleasant flavor of saltwater but without salt. This is definitely the place I will visit again when I come to Chicago.
Excellent pizza, pasta and dessert! The only shock is $8.00 scoop of ice cream was not worth it. It was worth maybe $4.00 at most. Otherwise the food overall was so good I don’t want to ding them too hard on that!
We LOVE Nella’s! It is my comfort place. I go for the gnocchi and a Bellini (or 2 🙃) - my daughter loves that she can get a pizza that looks like Mickey Mouse, a fish, or a rabbit! My 3 year old son is obsessed with the calamari and my husband loves to try new things every time we go 🙂

I don’t know if I came on an off day, but I just expected more coming here after learning this was a bib gourmand. Service was mediocre and the pizza was good, but it wasn’t amazing in my opinion. I’ll definitely come again in the future if I’m in the area.
Order the Vesuvio “stuffed” pizza. It was delicious. The calamari was also a hit. I ordered it twice. The lamb pasta didn’t look like much when it arrive but the taste was good so that’s most important. We went on a weekday evening and it was busy. We had long wait times. The staff were overall friendly but I believe the service would have been better if staffing was increased. Our final bill was $120… not cheap. I’ll be back one day but I’ll share an entree and skip the second serving of calamari.
Wow. My wife picked this place for its reviews and ratings and they were everything they were raved about. I for got a pic for the calamari and shrimp appetizer and it was perfect. They served olive oil, cheese and bread with our generous drinks, very nice. We shared a risotto dish that we’ve never tried before and couldn’t have prepared for how unique and delicious it was. Add to that a capocollo, artichoke, black olives and cheese flat bread that was outstanding. I also tried the Amaro Montenegro after dinner digestive and now have another mix I need to add to our home liquor selection. All in all, a fine Italian pizzeria to add to our list of great places to eat.
Walked in alone today, so got a table at the bar. Very friendly staff. All of them had a little chat. Finally this resulted even in an espresso on the house. Will definitely return.
