Cornerstone Cafe

We live in Wisconsin, but every time my wife and I spend a night in Chicago, we come to Cornerstone on our way home. First, it's away from downtown, which is always nice to depart. The interior is quaint and inviting. The staff has never been anything but overly friendly and accommodating, and the food has always been great. I like the tofu scrambler (though I like it with scrambled eggs!). The French toast is legit. Good selection of juices and smoothies, which can replenish after Chicago mayhem. Our only complaint was that my wife said the bathroom was kinda dirty the last time we went. We'll be back the next time we visit that garbage city to the south! Go Pack Go.

We just ate here and holy cow the food was amazing. I HIGHLY recommend the smoked salmon omelette! That dish made my whole week look better. They also had gluten free pancakes which is great for me. The coffee was also great, I couldn't get enough of it. It's a groovy little joint that feels very comfortable. The only negative I would say we saw was that our server wasn't really attentive or friendly. But, in her defense, it was a pretty busy morning and she kept up just fine. Try this place out, we had breakfast but haven't tried any other meals.
