This place never disappoints! The Greek char burger on pita with feta is second to none. Then, add the Greek fries and dressing to the mix. All I will say, is use the dressing to spoon over the burger to make each bite a party in your mouth. Personally, I prefer my fries plain but can't resist the dressing. The chicken kabobs are excellent but the burger always edges them out. You get a small Greek salad as a side to the burger so there's a complete meal for you to savor. If you want alcohol, you can slip next door to Glascott's and get drink at a reasonable price. My only knock is no refills on the soda or iced tea drinks.
This place gets busy but it is worth the wait. The outdoor seating area is the perfect mix of shade and sun.
The wait staff doesn't really try to be your friend but they are pleasant enough and efficient so it isn't an issue.
I've been coming here for as long as I can remember. This is where my family goes to celebrate special occasions even though we live in the suburbs. The staff is always friendly, the owners are wonderful and the food is to die for. The feta Burger is my favorite but I also recommend the Greek salad, Greek chicken, gyros and we recently discovered that their hummus is amazing.
The food was fine, prices were reasonable and service was quick. The Greek fries to my surprise didn't have feta cheese on it due to which I had to put feta crumbles in order to bring flavor. It didn't taste the same as the one I had at Lincoln Park Greek Fest.
The Gyros were good but I think they should have served it on pita already topped with tomatoes, onions, tzatziki sauce rather than serving it separate.
A disadvantage is that it is cash only and doesn't accept debit/credit card. So be prepared to have plenty of cash although they do have an ATM in the bar next door.
The Athenian Room was recommended by a friend of mine who grew up in Lincoln Park. They set very high expectations, but the AT still exceeded them all. Got the spanakopita to start and then the feta charburger dinner. Straight. Fire. The crispy Greek fries swimming in the salad dressing is genius. Five easy stars.
this is one of Chicago’s oldest Greek restaurants, and its been around since 1972. To this day, its still cash only, but they have an atm inside. With its rustic interior and extremely affordable prices, I was skeptical if the food was going to be good. The food comes out fast, and the servers are very attentive which is always a plus. The chicken was beautifully cooked, not the best chicken ever, but still solid.
Service was quick and the food is really inexpensive! I added the feta cheese to my salad and it went really nicely with the Greek fries on top. Heard a rumor that it’s Tina Feta favorite Chicago spot and I understand why. I was an easy and yummy place to get dinner on a night you don’t feel like cooking

If we were regulars, this is a place where everyone would know your name! It's family owned and the owner and son are there greeting guests! There is an adjoining bar where you can order drinks. You cannot go wrong with their charred burgers and chicken! The Greek fries are so mouthwatering and lemony! It's a great place for families as well. They even gave us free baklava for dessert! Whenever we are in the area, we make sure to stop in and bring our friends as well!
Chicken kalamata is out of this world! One of the best dishes in the whole city. Plus, baklava is the perfect way to end the meal!
A Chicago gem. Greek food is outstanding. Small. Busy. Fast. Great service. Owner on site. Proud. CASH ONLY.
This place is awesome. First off the staff was amazing, super friendly, and very prompt. Food came out fast. For starters you have to get the feta, it’s absolutely amazing. We had a group of 6 so we got to try a bunch of the options. Greek fries are delicious. The gyro was massive, piled high with tasty gyro meat. The chicken was equally as good, fresh tender and juicy. Definitely recommend and cant wait to get back when im in the area.
I had never been and can see why the chicken meal is a classic. Hard to beat a half chicken with salad and fries for $15. The skin of the chicken was amazing and crisp, and those fries dunked in the chicken sauce were stunning. A little disappointed by the kalamasalata but everything else was excellent, really friendly service and great atmosphere!
The Kalamata Chicken and Greek fries were outstanding. Plenty of feta cheese on side salad. Gyros dinner was enough for two. Baklava was heavenly. No free refills on soft drinks was the only downside. Bonus was it was close to Oz Park and the 4 statues. Great photo op.
