If I could give this restaurant 6 stars, I would. Wonderful location and ambiance. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and prompt with service. We would have loved to sit in the outdoor dining area but the weather was a bit cool so we dined indoors.
We were given a very comfortable booth and relaxed while a very hardworking waiter took care of us. This guy had more than his share of tables but handled the load with non-stop professionalism and readiness.
We had two in our party and ordered the Heirloom Tomato Salad and Artisan Cheese Tray to share as an appetizer. It was the perfect way to start the meal. I would go back just to enjoy this as a meal with a nice glass of wine.
We both then ordered the Short Ribs which were beyond amazing. This dish is so well put together -the short ribs were nothing less than perfection - fall-apart tender, juicy and full of flavor. The combination of sweet peppers and jalepeno peppers was brilliant and the polenta was the perfect addition for balancing the dish. This is a dish that will live at the top of my dining list for a long time and one that I can not wait to share with friends and family.
Can not wait to go back!
We love the food at Gemini but even more the service, Matt our server always great and the manager Sylvia is fabulous. Highly recommend giving it a try for dinner
I was searching for a place that had good espresso martinis, and GEMINI was recommended. They did not disappoint! I ordered two espresso martinis, and both were wonderfully made and tasteful. While we did not order any food this time, I would like to return to GEMINI to get food. The Parmesan truffle fries looked delicious!
Atmosphere: Inside, it is a dark, but lively setting. There was music playing and a lively crowd which I liked. The bar was beautiful. Bathrooms are clean too, which is always a plus!
There is also an option to sit outside on the heated patio, which we decided to do. It was a chilly night and we still stayed warm with the heaters, which I was pleased with. The patio looks beautiful in the fall!
Overall, I highly recommend GEMINI and I am looking forward to coming back!
**Gemini Restaurant on Lincoln Avenue**
Gemini Restaurant on Lincoln Avenue is a must-visit for anyone looking for a delicious meal and impeccable service. The staff is incredibly attentive and friendly, and they go above and beyond to make sure that every guest has a wonderful dining experience.
I started my meal with a Gamlet, which is a refreshing and flavorful cocktail. The Parker House rolls that came out next were light and fluffy, with the perfect hint of salt. For my appetizer, we had the wedge salad, which was delicious and topped with unique bacon bits.
For a main course, we ordered the steak frites, which was cooked perfectly and served with delicious truffle fries. We also ordered the mushroom risotto, which was perfectly creamy and cooked al dente. We both enjoyed our meals thoroughly, and we were very impressed with the quality of the food.
To end our meal, we ordered espresso martinis, which were the perfect way to cap off a delicious evening. The espresso martinis were strong and flavorful, and they were made with high-quality ingredients.

Had a great brunch while in town. Stayed warm on the patio thanks to their heaters and unlimited coffee. Ordered the frittata and Le Pamplemousse (I recommend both). Perfect location for an afternoon meal.
We were sent here by another restaurant who was completely booked, when we arrived they were booked as well, but had a couple seats at the bar. The bar tender Noah was amazing!! Super attentive and friendly. We will definitely be going back. We had the tomato bisque soup, shrimp? Appetizer, gnocchi with squash, and spare ribs. The food was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was awesome. The staff (especially Noah) were all friendly and professional.
We didn’t make reservation and the place was full, so the staff accommodated us in patio. At first we were a little hesitant to sit outside in a chilly November night, but there were plenty of heating, and the oyster mushroom tempura that we ordered as appetizer came quickly, and we were able to enjoy the delicious food right away. We also ordered the night’s special pork shank, and the burger. Both dishes were so flavorful and amazing. The dipping sauce and the sides were so unique, and they enhanced the experience. Our server brought the heater close by to our table, and that was nice of him. Next time, we’ll make reservations!
Neighborhood staple that delivers on both cuisine & service. Delicious American fare, solid cocktails, and impeccable staff made this a great visit. Their seafood execution was superb, as was the truffle mushroom risotto. Recommend adding blackened chicken as a protein. And don't forget to order the rolls. Served fresh in a cast iron with garlic & butter. Highly recommend!
I enjoyed eating here. I ordered the Ahi Tuna Tataki and it was great. The tuna was cooked well, had a lot of flavor, and the rice was paired perfectly. I also got the FKG drink and I highly recommend to anyone trying this place out. We also got truffle fries and Brussel sprouts which were both good too.
The staff was very attentive and the interior is modern. My only complaint is that it was quite loud in the dinning room and is hard to hear the person across from you.
As always, Gemini is the best. My partner and I went to Gemini last night before we attended Zoo Lights at the Lincoln Park Zoo. To start, we split the Cesar Salad. For dinner, I got the steak frites, which were phenomenal. Definitely recommend getting the truffle fries with them! My partner got the chicken and said it was phenomenal. Definitely recommend going to Gemini, you won't be disappointed!
Went here over the weekend with some gal pals for bottomless brunch and it was absolutely amazing. Our waitress, Rosie, was phenomenal in giving her suggestions. They didn't disappoint! The awesome thing about Gemini's brunch is that you can mix and match drinks throughout your 90 minute window. We tried the housemade Squirtsky draft (made in the basement and is SO yummy!) then tried the Bellini and margarita. Each drink was so refreshing but we kept finding ourselves going back to the Squirtsky. Our food was fresh and delicious as well. Rosie let me know the house potatoes weren't GF (much appreciated!) so I was upcharged for a bowl of fruit as a good alternative. As fall weather trickles into Chicago, be sure to go to Gemini's patio for some fun, great drinks, and food!
My husband and I went here when our reservation at another place was cancelled. It ended up being a wonderful surprise, the food was amazing, best steak I have had in Chicago. The sangria was perfectly refreshing. It is clearly a love neighborhood spot that showcased the people of Lincoln Park.
