Superb service, delightful food. My husband and I went to this restaurant for Valentines Day, first time. (We are couple in our late 20s and early 30s).
-the service is superb. All of the restaurant workers know their job and perform it seamlessly. It was wonderful to observe them. Our waiter was a wonderful young man who knew the menu, his wines and good etiquette.
-food was wonderful. If you are looking for an ambiance-this is the place to go. It was fairly quiet where we sat, quite romantic, and slow. There is nothing more frustrating than going to the restaurant and feeling rushed by shoving your food down your throat in order to clear the table for the next customer. Everest knows how to serve it’s customer. We were never rushed, and it was nice to have a “breather” in between meals. Makes you appreciate the food and savor each flavor and bite.
-food portions are appropriate. This is not your typical restaurant. The food was delightful, flavorful. Made me appreciate food in a restaurant again.
I can see myself coming back again despite higher price point. It’s the whole experience you are paying for...if you are truly appreciate it.

We visited the Everest for the theater menu prior to Hamilton. We were able to sit by a window which was a real treat. The service is exceptional and the food out of this world. Everything was prepared and presented beautifully. The portions are smaller which we appreciated. We could not have been happier. Will return when we visit again. One of our best dining experiences in years.

Fantastic French cuisine. We enjoyed the lobster, fois gras (best I have had!), and scallops for starters. The duck was outstanding. Excellent service and view of West Chicago. Highly recommend.

In one word: OUTSTANDING. We've been lucky enough to have eaten here twice, and both meals were absolutely fabulous. Service could not be better, wine selection is great, cocktails superb, and the food? Ooh La La! After our meal, we got to meet and speak with Chef Jean Joho, and pass on greetings from Paul Haeberlin in Illshaeusern, France. The view from way up is spectacular, looking to the west, but the tables adjacent to the windows seem to be booked further ahead than we make out plans. Otherwise, I'll let these photos speak for themselves.

Excellent eye-popping food with excellent service. Check in with security in the lobby for entry to the elevators to the 38th floor, where you change for the elevator to Everest on 40.
Nice view facing west on a sunny day.
Food was paced a bit slow for the sampler menu relative to the tasting menu, i.e. the table behind us ordered the multi-course tasting menu and their dessert arrived at the same time as ours, having ordered the three course sampler menu.

Our view was excellent and the menu had a large variety of tasty options for each course. Lisa was our main server but the entire staff provided top notch service and attention to detail. The lobster soup and sea bass were phenomenal.

We found this restaurant wonderful. Servers were kind and attentive and completely unpretentious with our questions about why the spoon had a dent in it. We enjoyed a lovely anniversary meal here and appreciated the variety without excess portions and the traditional touch of amuse bouche and sorbet before dessert. I love this style of traditional French cuisine and wish it always to prosper.

Everest is an intimate and quiet restaurant for a special occasions (this night was the start of our anniversary weekend) or for date night. The staff were professional and friendly. I also enjoyed the conversation with the chef when he went table to table. Speaking of the chef, the food was absolutely delicious from the appetizers and bread through to the main course and dessert. I am giving this restaurant five stars for the food and wait staff, but not for the manager. Our conversation with him to resolve a minor issue, he was on the rude side and unhelpful. We almost left and went elsewhere, but he threatened we would be charged $75 for each of us and call it a cancellation. That type of response to customers standing right in front of him was disappointing to the say the least.
