Excellent! My husband is very picky with his food and he absolutely loved everything at Michael Jordan's! From the entree to the dessert, including the beer pairing, everything was superb! Great waiter as well, gracias Cesar!
Took advantage of Restaurant Week. The deal was incredible. The filet mignon melted like butter. It was perfectly prepared. The wine pairings were absolutely delicious. Great service, beautiful atmosphere, scrumptious food.
This steakhouse is one for the books, just like the legendary name it carries. We started with the perfectly toasted garlic bread which had a crunchy crust, but balanced with the melted cheese, texture and taste-wise. The Caesar salad had the right amount of dressing over the fresh and juicy greens. The Japanese Wagyu A5 did not disappoint. It had the perfect amount of salt and pepper and remained juicy for a medium cook. The ponzu sauce was an interesting companion, but even without it, the steak is delicious. Service was so impressive. No empty glasses. Ended with a surprise birthday dessert that was off the menu.
It is a nice place to chat. Not overly crowded. The attendants were very helpful. I am not a steak person but my friends loved the steak and the hamburger. The fries are really good. The Caesar salad could have been fresher.
My wife and I were tempted in here by a doorman offering samples of rib roast. It was enough to get us in the door.
When you walk into Portillos it is quite amazing. You don't know where to look.
The place is decorated by using Chicago history and it is quite something.
The food itself was delicious and there are so many options we just wished we could have gone back to try more.
The beef sandwiches were delicious and juicy... some pluses, such as a side soup with the grilled cheese sandwich and rustic salad was good... the food in general was good but not best of all times.

This steakhouse is one of the best I have ever been to so far. It is situated on the ground level of Intercontinental hotel at the Magnificent Mile. My wife and I had a pleasant dinner there. It was around 10 p.m. when we arrived to the restaurant so the dinner menu was already closed !!! lucky us there was still the bar menu available from which we chose to have the MJ's Prime Delmonico and the Filet Mignon. We also picked the 23 Layer Chocolate Cake to end our dinner on a sweet note. Our waitress was nice and friendly. Unfortunately the food took an unbelievable time to land on our table. Around an entire hour !!! The waitress apologized more than once and to compensate they offered us the chocolate cake on the house. Now for the food taste. I confirm that both of the plates we had (steak and filet mignon) were incredibly tasty and succulent. Premium quality of meat perfectly cooked to our desire. The added sauces and juices were amazing too. The star of the show was no doubt the chocolate cake. It was enormous. It was really made of 23 layers of chocolate cakes !!! beside the size the taste was WOW !!! I will never forget this heavenly piece of cake. This steakhouse is so recommended but I must warn you that it can be very much expensive.

There are two restaurants in the InterContintal Hotel for Michael Jordan; the steak house upstairs and the more informal bar/lounge on the ground level. We have dined at both but todays visit was to grab a quick bite before heading out to the airport.
This visit coincided with Chicago Restaurant Week and so we were offered a special menu that had been put together to offer three courses plus wines - a little too much food for our needs. The main menu has some tasty options; we selected a burger, the beef sandwich, and the tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich.
The setting is a little like a sports bar with the large flat screen tvs on the wall and while probably good if there is a game going on, then a little distracting for a regular lunchtime visit.
If you don't add alcohol then I think the prices at the lounge are very good for Chicago. Service was nothing special but it was quite busy so our server was stretched a little thin. This is a good option if you are staying at the hotel but would probably not go out of my way if I was not a hotel guest.
MJ! His Airness! Not sure what he has to do with this place, but it's a winner as well. Awesome steaks done to perfection and a great wine list. Staff is very professional!
Good service, great filet mignon (10oz) but pretty expensive. Sides are extra and we had the asparagus which was good, but was ~$10 more and quite a large helping.
Best burger I've ever!. Wanted a quick bite while staying at the Intercontinental. Wasn't expecting much since it's in a hotel and wow, was I wrong. The hamburger and fries are by far the best I've ever tasted. Would HIGHLY recommend.
Stupid name but great steak. I thought i would dislike this place but purely from the name but we had a great meal here. went for the shrimp entree, filet mingon on the bone, and the goats cheesecake for dessert. the steak and sides were exceptional, one of the best steaks i have had in a long time. the shrimp was good.
the goats cheese was the standout dish though, never had goats cheese as a sweet before and i want the recipe, it was fantastic.
our waitress was great, knew her stuff.
i have nothing against MJ but the name is lame!!
would definitely recommend here to a friend.

Warning: if you only have 2 people, don't order Steak Flight, it's for 4 people. The portion is huge.
We actually went in around 3:30 PM at the bar, The upstairs dinner restaurant wasn't open yet, but we went for the steaks. Our waiter at the bar area was so nice, he kindly went to ask the chef for us and make an exemption for us to prepare the steak flight at 3: 30pm. I have to tell you this might be the best New York Trip (14 oz) I've ever had, & Filet Mignon(10 oz) plus dry aged 45 days Prime Delmonico are equally amazing.
But it's just too much for us. Maybe best for 4 people.
Love this location, it's inside Intercontinental hotel, very convenient and walking friendly area.
I love my waiter at the bar, even though he doesn't know how to serve the steaks to us, nor did he give us any napkins. Plus the knife was also not right for the steak, but he tried his best to give us the items we wanted so we still are very happy.
Service Fee is already included in the bill and all the bills highlighted that, which is very thoughtful.
Love this place.
But make sure you sit upstairs to get the best service.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Michael Jordan Steakhouse, and I must say it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The customer service was truly exceptional, with attentive staff who went above and beyond to make our evening memorable.

The food was simply amazing. Every dish we ordered was prepared to perfection! Lobster tails were delicious! The steaks were cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful, every side dish was amazing especially the garlic mashed potatoes.
The bartenders crafted delicious cocktails with adding to the overall enjoyment of our meal.
Absolutely will be back!

First time here and was pleasantly surprised!! I was expecting a full on sports theme but it was really cool and classy. I had one of the best Espresso Martinis I've ever had (from the hot Venezuelan bartender downstairs 😉).
Dinner was more than we expected. Our server Nick was awesome and put up with our shenanigans (we were having a grand ol time LOL). Answered all our questions and very helpful with suggestions. The food. EVERYTHING was tasty and presented beautifully! The one minor mishap was the short rib bone marrow. We didn't know the marrow was actually removed and than mixed with the short rib and put back in. We mistakenly thought it was placed on top of the marrow so it was somewhat lost and some of my group thought it had a gamey taste, I enjoyed it. As far as shareable is concerned.. we got the basic steak flight w/ 3 sides. Mac & cheese can be hit or miss, this one was a HIT. Creamy and crunchy and cheesy... all the Cs!!! Brussel sprouts was actually an individual serving and some of the sprouts weren't fully cooked but the flavor was there. The grilled elote corn? YUM!!! And the piece de resistance.. the steak flight. Each one was SO good and cooked perfectly. It was overall a fantastic dining experience!!!
Steak was perfect cooked, super juicy and flavorful. We spent most of our money on appetizers, of which we got three. The crab cake was fresh, and the groups favorite out of the three. For main courses we got a variety of dishes not just steak, the burger was a stand out among those who want something different.

I’ve waited so long to go and finally made it and man was it worth it! The steak was cooked to perfection. I didn’t try and drinks but they all looked great. Service was impeccable. It was my friends birthday and they even gave us a keepsake. Sides were mediocre to me but steak was well worth it, which is why I came.

I don't eat steak but I went to this restaurant to try their cocktails which was just amazing. Swish was our favorite drink and it is a must try. Also the garlic breads were great, it was different from the typical garlic breads at other places.
This is easily one of the best meals I have had in my life. We started out with the crab cake, which is definitely the best crab cake I’ve ever had. We also got shrimp and steak tartare, both of which are phenomenal. Finally, we ordered a flight of steak which, as you can expect, was the best steak we’ve ever had. It was our friends birthday and it was a night we’ll never forget!
When in Chicago...though the gratuity / tip is included with your bill (auto included) the service was still very good.
What we found odd was the drink menu was very limited and that you had to ask what types of rum they had or had to ask for bottles of wine/wine list. We had the Jumpman (have to for 1st first timer, glass of red and Zacapa 23).
The Onion soup is not traditional french onion soup and they don't pitch it as such so be forewarned, this is not french onion and wasn't that great. The double smoked bacon was delicious.
10oz filet was NOT 10oz. I've had 10oz filet/tenderloin at Ruth's, Capital Grille and other high end steakhouses and this was 6-7, maybe 8oz max. It was good, not great. Brussel sprouts ok, a little soft (could have been crisped up more).
The beef short rib truffle pasta was very good, better than the filet.
The 23 layer chocolate cake was underwhelming but a nice novelty to finish off the meal.
