Michael Jordan's Steak House

First time here and was pleasantly surprised!! I was expecting a full on sports theme but it was really cool and classy. I had one of the best Espresso Martinis I've ever had (from the hot Venezuelan bartender downstairs 😉). Dinner was more than we expected. Our server Nick was awesome and put up with our shenanigans (we were having a grand ol time LOL). Answered all our questions and very helpful with suggestions. The food. EVERYTHING was tasty and presented beautifully! The one minor mishap was the short rib bone marrow. We didn't know the marrow was actually removed and than mixed with the short rib and put back in. We mistakenly thought it was placed on top of the marrow so it was somewhat lost and some of my group thought it had a gamey taste, I enjoyed it. As far as shareable is concerned.. we got the basic steak flight w/ 3 sides. Mac & cheese can be hit or miss, this one was a HIT. Creamy and crunchy and cheesy... all the Cs!!! Brussel sprouts was actually an individual serving and some of the sprouts weren't fully cooked but the flavor was there. The grilled elote corn? YUM!!! And the piece de resistance.. the steak flight. Each one was SO good and cooked perfectly. It was overall a fantastic dining experience!!!

Me and 5 others went here after calling all over Chicago trying to get in for dinner and then we called here and they said sure come on over, got there and was seated immediately, friendly, our server was amazing, and very good looking, the atmosphere was so enjoyable, the food was fantastic everything tasted amazing. I will definitely be going back there soon some time!! I highly recommend if you’re in the Chicago area try it out!

When in Chicago...though the gratuity / tip is included with your bill (auto included) the service was still very good. What we found odd was the drink menu was very limited and that you had to ask what types of rum they had or had to ask for bottles of wine/wine list. We had the Jumpman (have to for 1st first timer, glass of red and Zacapa 23). The Onion soup is not traditional french onion soup and they don't pitch it as such so be forewarned, this is not french onion and wasn't that great. The double smoked bacon was delicious. 10oz filet was NOT 10oz. I've had 10oz filet/tenderloin at Ruth's, Capital Grille and other high end steakhouses and this was 6-7, maybe 8oz max. It was good, not great. Brussel sprouts ok, a little soft (could have been crisped up more). The beef short rib truffle pasta was very good, better than the filet. The 23 layer chocolate cake was underwhelming but a nice novelty to finish off the meal.

It's a good option for a bar at a hotel, service was really attentive and kind and specially stood out. The burger was fine, a tad overcooked but guess that's for asking for well done. Food came quickly. The hotel needs a place to do some work in a bit more in silence and, as expected, this bar is definitely not it.

Can't say enough about our evening at MJ's. We went for just a drink. We sat at the beautiful bar and met so many friendly people. The bartender was fantastic. Food advice, drink advice, he was fast. The garlic bread was the best we ever had. I ordered the Big Mike Waygu Burger - simply the best burger I have ever had. We did not want to leave. Next time we will go upstairs - view of Michigan Ave, a little quieter and more romantic.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Michael Jordan Steakhouse, and I must say it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The customer service was truly exceptional, with attentive staff who went above and beyond to make our evening memorable. The restaurant is beautiful! The food was simply amazing. Every dish we ordered was prepared to perfection! Lobster tails were delicious! The steaks were cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful, every side dish was amazing especially the garlic mashed potatoes. The bartenders crafted delicious cocktails with adding to the overall enjoyment of our meal. Absolutely will be back!

I had an incredible dining experience at the Michael Jordan Steakhouse in Chicago. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was sophisticated and inviting. The service was top-notch, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who made great recommendations. The star of the show, of course, was the steak. It was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The variety of cuts and the quality of the meat were truly impressive. The sides and desserts were equally delectable, making it a complete and satisfying meal. The ambiance was enhanced by the elegant decor and the subtle sports memorabilia, paying tribute to the legendary goat Michael Jordan. Overall, the Michael Jordan Steakhouse is a must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Chicago. I can't wait to return and savor those delicious steaks again.

October 2023- Dinner was excellent. We had the steak tartare, Wagyu meatballs. Then a Delmonico and tomahawk, followed by lava cake for dessert. Service was excellent and attentive. Our table was in front of a window, which I appreciated. For the price, less than the chop house, probably about the same as Gibsons, but more varied options at MJs. We were a party of two, and they tacked on the service charge, I don't know if it was because the check was high for two people, and they were concerned we won't tip properly. I actually would have tipped a bit more if they hadn't tacked on. My only complaint, after dinner I saw in the display case downstairs right in front eye level, a tshirt I thought would be funny for my son who ate the tomahawk steak, I asked to get one. When they came back, that one was only small, they should me two they had in medium, I chose one (disappointed). Gave the the credit card, when I saw the charge it was almost twice as much as one on display that I had wanted ($18 vs $32). They said it was because it was Nike branded. Downstairs they had a bit of an attitude to my displeasure after spending what I just had upstairs, to feel like I was being swindled on the shirt.
