This place is definitely a must try, the ambiance, the extra friendly and attentive staff, the amazing food, this was a great experience and worth every penny, I will be frequenting this place a lot
Omg this place is awesome. I had the crabster sandwich and it was to die for. Had the side salad with the warm bacon dressing. Yum! And had a bloody Mary appetizer! I will always eat here when I come to town. Bartender was awesome and knowledgeable. All employees were friendly.
In town for Sunday afternoon play at Theatre Wit and found this SUPERB fresh fish restaurant about 30 yards west on same street. Incredible menu (breakfast all day if that’s your thing), indoor/outdoor seating, generous servings, intelligent servers, scrumptious desserts. Street parking free on Sunday. Great neighborhood ambience.
You should be able to find something to please you on this menu! Even fish pate - several types! Make a reservation.. Having Wide variety of fish!
I'm reviewing the sandwich end of Fahlstrom's as opposed to the sit down dining area. However, my brother has had a sit down meal here along with picking up some fish and he thoroughly enjoyed both.
They're known for the crabster, which you should probably just look up, but I'm not a fan of shellfish so that's not my thing. The fish tacos though, are super good and they make them incredibly fast to boot because of their special oven. My only beef is that you used to get three tacos for nine dollars and now I believe they're around eleven bucks for only two (their website at the time of this posting doesn't display their current prices).
My pictures are of the shrimp tacos (they have straight up fish ones now!), and the crab cake sandwich. Six minutes wait for 4 delicious sandwiches...you do you people that sit down here for some reason.
We ate there before a show: a few drinks, appetizer and entrees. Everything was top notch. We had Mussels Carbonara, crab roll and the Mahi-Mahi.
I wanted to treat myself after a tough work week. This restaurant's delicious food came to mind. I ate the jumbo sea scallops. So so good. My waitress was friendly. Another staff member also asked if I had any questions or needed anything. Their service was on point. Nice bar design and decor. You can't go wrong if you choose to visit Pescadero.
We had amazing brunch here! I am very picky with fries and hollandaise sauce, but this place was awesome. Fries are freshly cooked, soft; sauce had great flavour, it was fresh, didn’t taste like lemon juice or vinegar.

We had a great time at dinner on a Wednesday night with a party of four people. Love the updated and fancier atmosphere while still maintaining a fish market! From the drinks, Wilmette Beach Negroni and Sunset Trawler, to the apps, Lobster Sliders, Oysters, Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail, to the mains, Seared Ahi Tuna, Alaskan Halibut, Creole Seafood Gumbo to the side of Brussels Chips, and even desserts, Pumpkin Cheesecake and Brownie with Ice Cream, everything was well prepared and delicious. Our server was very helpful in choosing the oysters and also suggesting the Brussels Chips for the table. All the seafood was fresh and well prepared. The gumbo was rich with at least four different seafoods. Look forward to our next trip to try other menu items as well.
Went for brunch. I love how they've updated the space since taking over from Fahlstrom's. Incredible food. Got free mimosas with our entrees. Great smokey, grilled flavor on the fish tacos. Bloody Mary was huge and came with shrimp. Highly recommend!

Great place for a date
I walk by this place everyday and we finally had an excuse to go in and check it out and I'm so glad we did. The Mezcal Marg and the other Mezcal drink on their menu were unreal, the salt on them is so good, we each had three. Then we ordered two of each of their oysters, followed by some of the best cooked calamari we've ever had! Seriously... Order that! Lastly we did the fish tacos, the sauce was so good and the fish was light and airy. Last was the octopus which was so good, the dressing on top added a good extra kick! All in all we will be going back a lot since they are so close.
Loved everything. Very nice server and hostess. Some of the most flavorful seafood i have ever eaten! We basically got the appetizer menu and enjoyed it all. Best key lime pie I have ever eaten! Will return..alone lol
Great seafood in a casual atmosphere. Our party had oysters, lobster sliders, shrimp cocktail, Tuna, Alaskan halibut, and gumbo. Everything was delicious. Thanks, Antonio for a great time!
Awesome addition to Lakeview!! The fish is fresh and amazing. Grand staff and the kitchen team is rockin! Try out the fish market! Its is super cool! Full of the best cuts! Lots of other spices, rubs, sauces and marinades.
We had the lobster roll and the lobster omelette. Both of them are delicious!!
Highly recommended for the weekend brunch.
