I really enjoyed my visit here. The space has a great atmosphere and you can tell that the owner really put a lot of time and care into the style of the restaurant. The food was wonderful, and I especially enjoyed their Orzo Salad. I can't wait to go back!

IMO, Solarium has the best dining experience in Chattanooga. The decor is amazing and the food/drinks are next level. We went for brunch recently and really enjoyed it. The savory waffle was life changing and the eggs benny were v good.

Great spot for drinks. Love the mid-century modern vibe and color scheme.

My wife and I decided to try this for brunch, and we are so happy we stopped by!
The hotel was built in the early 1900’s and the decor is amazing. The restaurant the Solarium was sooo good. The atmosphere was incredible. We shared the duck egg rolls, the chicken sandwich (add bacon), and the Orzo pasta salad. Everything was delicious! The pasta salad has green olives and they are strong, but I love green olives so we enjoyed it. The chicken sandwich was by far the best I’ve ever had!
We will be back.

UPDATE: MYSTERY SOLVED. I just took this from 5 stars to 1. I liked Solarium so much from previous week's visit that I went back. Apparently they just changed to a private event space only arrangement for the Solarium restaurant within that timeframe. There was no signal of this upon arrival. Owner gave us attitude when we said we were here for Solarium and she insisted the bar was same the experience...it for sure is not. There was 1 frantic bartender and no clear path us for us to be greeted within 10 minutes. Now I get why there was no wait on a Friday previously. And I can't recommend this for a dinner now with the changes and 1st hand service ethic of the owner.
No wait on a Friday night for top-shelf food, service, value, and atmosphere! I have waited 90 minutes for a whole lot less and paid a lot more. This fun, eclectic, and sophisticated jewel is hidden in downtown Chattanooga within The Dwell Hotel property. My latest trip here was no exception...the food and service were terrific. Craft cocktails were exceptional to start things off. The menu has just enough options to give needed variety without feeling overwhelmed. Creative presentation to go along with the atmosphere. Our server was timely, professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely enjoyed service. There is only 1 thing I don't quite understand about Solarium...and that is why I DON'T have to wait an hour to be seated on a Friday night. Perhaps it is just a best kept secret, but I can't see that lasting.

Breakfast all day...I had poached eggs (w hollandaise sauce) organic chorizo and arugula for the price of MCD'S just about... And a Glenlivet neat. My luncheon companion did the midnight burger and a champagne of bottle beers! Background music was stan getz which made such a restful experience - all good.

Great food and beverage. Great customer service. Nice ambience. The only thing that is slightly goofy is, I’ve been there multiple times and all except for one time my check has been wrong.
