Muy delicioso! Fresh, authentic, flavorful. I had a Mexican street taco with chicken and a pupusa with poblanos. Even though they suffered slightly from being packaged and taken for a 10 minute drive back to work, they were some of the best Mexican food I've ever eaten. Next time I will dine in and eat while it's fresh and hot!
Been going here for about two years now and recommend this to anyone who wants delicious Hispanic food that is priced perfectly for the heaven of flavor and portions you receive. Get the Tortas! If you don’t know what a torta is let me share with you. It is everything you love about Hispanic food mixed with everything you love about sandwiches.
This cute little place is SO Good. I can’t wait to come back to Chattanooga to eat here again. I wish this was in my hometown. Now I’ll have to go home and just have “okay” Mexican food. It spoiled us. We actually ordered seconds hahaha.
This place is worth finding. It's in a very nondescript building that you will drive right by if you aren't looking for it. Do yourself a favor and look. Inside seating is limited but there is ample seating. Service when we went was a little slow, because it's a small place they only had one server, but it wasn't too bad. The food was terrific. I got the flautas and Hawaiian and both were terrific. To me this is more of a lunch spot as the portions were smaller and they don't come with sides. This is the only reason I rated it as I did because for a dinner portion there wasn't enough for me. I will return there for lunch though and it's definitely worth a stop if you like authentic Mexican food.
+Fresh, AUTHENTIC food. This is a great place. Family based , delicious homemade food. The little building that it is in, makes the place, and food even better. Just a cozy, little place to eat great food. I had the gordito with the corn tortillia, chicken, onions, cilantro, cheese. Also, had a side of guacamole, chips and salsa. YUM!!!!!Carol Lehmkuhl
A local legend that kickstarted the mainstream appeal of authentic Taco places in Chattanooga, Taqueria Jalisco has become a must-have staple for foodies in the surrounding area. I've tried pretty much all of the toppings for the tacos saves jalapeno, and they are all awesome! Chicken, of course, is a favorite of mine! As always, a taqueria is only as good as its salsa, so fittingly, Taqueria Jalisco's salsa is simply incredible! With some of the best food downtown, and indisputably some of the best prices, here's hoping that this place stays around for centuries to come!
Thought the service & food was fantastic. Had Tacos Americanos with tilapia. It was terrific. Everyone else loved their food as well. No complaints at our table. It wasn't busy when we were there around 4 in the afternoon.
Authentic and amazing.. For a long time I've looked for good AUTHENTIC mexican food and this is the place. Best mexican I've ever had since I moved from the Mexico/Texas border. Awesome prices, great service, good selections and amazing food. They even had Mexican sodas! I am never disappointed. My boyfriend and I come here once a week. My only complaint is that sometimes they close early randomly and they don't serve alcohol.
A very small restaurant with only 5 to 6 tables. The food was absolutely awesome and authentic...not smothered in cheese. Very clean and unique. Will definitely be returning:)

Taqueria Jalisco Mexican Restaurant. On Friday, a friend and I dined at Taqueria Jalisco, just off of Main Street in Chattanooga, TN. I have been going there since it opened and have found it to be my favorite Mexican Restaurant. The menu has not change much but the flavor profiles have. My go to is the Beef Burrito and order it just about every time. Their Red Salsa goes great with the chips that come with the meal but it is was even better on the Burrito. Be sure to try one of the local sodas from Pure Sodaworks.
Taqueria Jalisco is very small with only 5 or 6 tables inside, with more tables on their patio. Being so small gives you more of a home-style feel. It’s like being invited to their home for lunch and the food taste like home made. They have the best authentic Mexican food in town. There are also a couple tables outside the restaurant for the sidewalk café feel. The staff is always friendly and service is fast.
Taqueria Jalisco started out with just a small food truck and then expanded into a storefront at 1634 Rossville Ave. Now, owners are adding a second location in Miller Plaza and should be open by the end of April. This is one not to be missed.
Awesome Food!. Perhaps some of the charm here is the very small building in a random location, but my wife and I came here and even from her picky Texas standards... she loves this place!
I recommend the Mexicana Pastor Taco! Arguably the best tacos in Chattanooga!
George your the best. Sopes, steak.....don't forget to get em. The are one of the best meals you can eat, Latino.
