Match Eatery & Public House - Chatham

Upon arrival the hostess appeared to be training a host and spoke to him in a rude manner. After we were seated we waited for our server as another table seated after us was served water. After more that 10 minutes our server took our order. The kids shell noodles and garlic bread was not at all as described on the menu. We got shoestring fries instead of garlic bread. The shells were a curly noodle and no Panko crumb topping and not cheesy at all. The server forgot our drinks. I asked for a spoon for my grand daughter, never did get that. I got tired of waiting to pay so left cash on the table. If it was busy I totally understand however Monday afternoon at 2 pm was not busy!

" Fresh 100% Canadian beef patty"???? (as advertised) Absolute NOT!!! The dried out burnt burger patty for $ 16.25 had NO flavor .. What I received was disgusting !! .. Even the burnt pulled pork, served on crispy burnt poutine fries was so bad I got an upset stomach after we left.. Horrible overpriced food. !!!!!! There was No thought put into the cooking as everything was burnt to a crisp. I get a better and less expensive GOOD burger and fries from the "Roadhouse" up the street. from here. ( Which is where I will be going next time I want a good burger.). I'm glad I didn't order the $32 steak as I'm sure this place would have massacred that too by burned it too badly.. Even the table beside us had burnt food.. and were not happy either. CERTAINLY NOT FRESH OR WORTH THE VALUE!! IF You do go..... Don't say I didn't warn you....

I went on a Monday during happy hour, so it is super quiet. Staffs are super friendly and the service was really quick (in and out in less than an hour). I tried the Guinness draught - It's ok, better than most but definitely not the Ireland taste. I got another Stella draught after, and nothing fancy but meet expectation. Food were expected, ordered fish and chips, fish tacos, spicy shrimp tacos, and the dirty fries. - Fish and chips - the fish is made really good and the batter is soft and thin; the chips on the other hand, the oil seems a little stale - Fish tacos - fish taste good (like above) and it comes with potato taters - Spicy shrimp tacos - a little disappointed, as it is not spicy at all and only two shrimps in the tacos, flavor is good though - Dirty friends - other than the oil is a little stale, the flavor is really good Just a couple of things: 1) Menu is not up to date (do not rely on the menu from their website). 2) Staffs are no longer required to wear masks, so they were not wearing any.

Very slow , seating to food ! Ordered garlic bread to start ! Could only taste garlic on the top of the bread! Nice size loaf but wanted to taste the garlic all the way through ! Stella was 8.50 and coke 3.50 for a small glass ! Did not order a meal after not being impressed with the garlic bread ! Cost 30.00 total with a small tip !

Visited last night for the first time after having Match recommended to us twice in the last 2 weeks and it was awesome! Wednesday is Happy Hour from 3 to 6pm and 9 to close with $6 Craft Beers, select half price appitizers plus half price wines! There are some unique items on the menu as well! Our server Olivia added alot to our 5 star experience and I totally recommend this local hotspot! Added bonus is the Casino is attached which was a fun wrap up to our evening!
