If you are looking for authentic and high quality seafood there is not a better place to shop for or dine in than Chatham Pier Fish Market. The fresh seafood is on a display in front of you and you pick Poseidon’s gifts you crave for. There are plenty of choices in fish, shrimps, oysters, clams, lobsters… Very friendly and knowledgeable staff is on hand to help you with your choices. The food is high quality and fresh out of the ocean. I bought a 1.25 lb lobster which came with buttered corn. I also bought blackened cod. Both were served steamy hot. The food is prepared while you wait and the portion size and quality will blow you away. The restaurant gives you plenty of of options for sides as well. The lobster was $25 and the large cod $12. The sides are $3-6. It was an incredible feast steps from the ocean exactly what you would expect from a fish market in Cape Cod. The quality of food, location and service deserve 5 stars.

It was recommended to stop by mid afternoon 1pm to 3pm to see seals. They came near because the fisherman are cleaning their catch and seals are getting treats (so to speak!) We saw so many seals at one point and they started singing. Amazing memories! The real treat is the sea food sold right there! Best lobster roll! 🦞

This is a neat little place to watch them unload today's catch and check out the harbor seals. There's a little restaurant or front that supposedly has the best clam chowder ever. They're closed on Tuesdays, we went on a Tuesday. 😫

We went during the season (busy, lively, cape cod feels- obviously!) and the off season for different reasons. I’d recommend both. The seals were far and few between in November compared to the summer but still cute as ever.

Awesome fish market and carry out place in Chatham MA. Seafood super fresh. Some of the best fish and chips I ever had. Lobster Roll was huge and very tasty. Same with clam roll. And the Clam Chowder was best I had on the Cape. Everything is made to order, so be prepared for a wait for your food. But it is well worth it. Only challenge is very limited parking. Had to park in downtown Chatham and take the shuttle. But then was able to explore Chatham. Overall, really great experience. Highly recommended.

We came here to see the seals. I don't know what time they usually show up, we got here at sunset. Schools of little fish swarm the pier and jump or flick the surface of the water, sounds like rain. The seals come and go, silently, sometimes you can hear them taking a breath. They lay on their backs and casually float along, sometimes they look up at you standing on the pier. There's a few spots of light peeking out that light them in the water. Not very busy after Labour Day, parking was available. Looking at the satellite view on maps, the right side beach is easy to reach and walk, the left side beach is not supposed to be accessible from the pier area. We asked a guy and he let us in, but all the signs said "no access". Proceed to the left, from the fish market, at your own risk. There were stairs down from the residential areas, but I am thinking that was probably private beach Access.

Food is so good and fresh. They make everything there. No smell of strong seafood and the taste is nice and light. The clam strips were so good, calamari, and the fish and chips. Everything comes with fries. Would definitely come back to eat here. Nice environment too to walk around the pier and watch the fish drop. Crab cake is meaty and rlly well seasoned. Got the buttered lobster roll. For $38, I wouldn’t get it again. I feel like the one w mayo would be better.

Boats unload around 2:45pm each day. Fun to see the catch hauled in and the seals and birds going for scraps. Also a great seafood shack at the pier.

Amazing selection of fresh fish. Best looking tuna I’ve ever seen at a meat/fish counter. Lobster roll was expensive but par for the area and it was a decent size. Great spot

If you like seafood, this is the place for you. We picked up some shrimp and lobster to take back to our room, and it was fresh and fantastic. They also have a menu where you can order cooked foods and an outdoor seating area to enjoy your meal. They may have an indoor seating area, but I did see it.
