Outback Steakhouse

So many, many fails from start to finish. Check the weather forecast first! The temperature inside Outback was bitter cold. In fact most diners wore their heavy coats while dining. It was 40 degrees outside and only 15 degrees warmer in the dining room. Didn’t mind the 45 minute wait to be seated, after all it was a Saturday night. Did mind the hour wait for food especially when we were served steaks that had obviously waited too long for pick up. We were cold, and our over-charred, inconsistently-cooked steaks couldn’t really be described as even warm. The Souza Rita I ordered contained NO spirits! But it did contain pineapple, an unusual ingredient for a margarita and not named in the menu. Did supply-chain issues affect the availability if alcohol? The smoked cinnamon pecan old fashioned I first requested was not available according to our server. First visit = last visit.

This Outback has been hit or miss for several years now (way before COVID) but the last several time I've been here the service has been great and the food has been tasty. Some servers are better than others in that some will take better care of you. Two of these are Elliot and Derek. There is also a bald African American gentleman who I've only had once but he's good too. On my most recent visit my girlfriend and I sat in the bar lounge instead of waiting for a table. We enjoyed where we sat and if the exact spot is available whenever we come here my girlfriend wants to sit there again. Our server was Derek and to say he was on top of his game is an understatement. It was busy but he still managed to keep checking on us regularly. Two things that impressed me about him was 1) my girlfriend and I both ordered soup and when he brought our drinks (and maybe bread too I don't remember) he had the soups with him!! 2) he brought us our first refill without asking!! This wins me over almost every time because I drink a lot of soda at least my first glass). One time when I did ask for a refill my girlfriend did not ask for one but he still brought her her drink just in case! The food was great and my girlfriend enjoyed the strawberry salad. Thank you Derek for taking such good care of us and thanks to Elliot for the time he had my mother, sister and I for his awesome service. This Outback has really improved in the last few years in my opinion and it's one of the few places my whole family agrees on.

I’m on my own this year for my birthday and thought I would treat myself to a nice steak dinner (carry-out), Outback had other ideas. Ice cold steak, no toppings for the potato (even though I asked for everything in my order) and stale dry bread. I ordered the strawberry dessert and there are literally 5 thin slices of strawberries in the cup for it. This was not a cheap meal and I definitely deserve better. Will not give this restaurant my business in the future.

Seated quickly, waitress very attentive and friendly. Drink was awesome. Blooming onion was cooked well. Our meal wasn’t good though. I couldn’t eat the steak as it was way way to chewy. My sons chicken tenders were ok, but very small portion. My boyfriend enjoyed his food for the most part but all meals were served cold. We prefer TRH. 3 stars for the awesome waitress.

I wanted to write a review specifically to recognize our server tonight, Chris Cherry, provided us with phenomenal service. He gave us multiple recommendations on drinks and food along with being incredibly attentive throughout the night. We will definitely be returning and specifically requesting him whenever possible.
