My birthday falls on Valentine's Day so we usually opt to eat out somewhere non-traditional. This fit the bill perfectly! The restaurant was empty when we arrived, but we made the night into a party for all of us. We had exclusive service and conversation with the owner, and the chef was cooking just for us! The food was outstanding. Even the Grilled Vegetable plate was delicious. Good times!

Food was delicious once it got to me. The hostesses seemed really new and only one was friendly enough to bring a smile out. I had to holler at the waitress to come back after she took my partner's order. They didn't really know what I was ordering so it took awhile to get it right. I'm giving 4 stars based on the taste and appearance of the food alone.

Talking about authentic! This Hispanic restaurant gets five starts from me!, this is my second time coming here and the service is still impeccable the waitress was shocked and excited at the fact that I love her cultures food!. She was so nice and sweet, full of life!

I used to work for a Mexican restaurant in Pineville and had to learn how to make everything from scratch. I can always tell tue difference when I eat at restaurants that don't use fresh ingredients. Everything at Comalapa is done correctly! I always enjoy the fresh food and the perfect horchata. The service here is quick and awesome, making it an easy choice to become a repeat customer. The owner is extremely cordial and generous with food (a big plus since I'm pregnant). I'll continue coming back.

Even though they are slow, how else would you cook the food takes time, this place is a hidden jem! The food portions are excellent and the food! Delicious to say the least. Everytime I'm in Charlotte I visit with Don Francisco and his staff. The staff are very pleasant and helpful eventhough their primary language is spanish they are an excellent example of the culture they came from. Negative vibes are not in this atmosphere. If you have the time I highly recommend that you stop by and try them out.

Fresh guacamole and love the nanche juice. Very friendly staff. I ordered the empanadas and they were good. I will be coming back.

Good food, good service .. While waiting on my order I had a friendly chat with Francisco the owner about past and future Costa Rica travels...I hope to meet up again at his Jaco Beach bar in the near future!!
