Wonderful staff and delicious food! Our server Nikki was friendly, attentive and incredibly thoughtful. The manager Tom was very kind and hilarious. The grill cook Johnny turned out perfect steaks every time. The flavor and quality of the steaks rivaled many I've had in high-end steak houses. Great dining experience. Thanks you guys!!
Literally the best Golden Corral we've ever been too. Everything was flavorful and good. The manager even stopped by three times to check on us. Great experience! I'll probably never go to another Golden Corral other than this one haha.
Excellent healthy choices. And the Senior Early Bird Special is quite a deal . . . All you can eat . . . and drink . . . for just $10.29. (1 - 3 PM, M - F) I love it! Check them out for lunch!
I was very happy with our visit. I likes the food and the waitress was excellent very friendly and kept the table clean and drinks. It was excellent overall!! Happy we was able to have our family together as this was our Christmas dinner. Thanks for being open near Christmas!!
We came here tonight. The food is as expected but the reason for this review is for our waitress Mrs. Pat. Normally the customer service isnt the best and we have come to expect that. But tonight we were blown away by this lady. We were thoroughly engaged with conversation. She was dancing and making my daughter laugh. We normally refill our own drinks but not tonight. She had us covered. Thanks girl!! You were amazing!!!
They have great waitress's working at this location. Yankees are clean when you seat yourself. The bar is always clean no mess. Food well cooked. Breakfast is like having brunch.
One of the best Golden Corrals around. If you get there around 10am, you can get breakfast and lunch. Nice servers, clean homely atmosphere, clean bathrooms. My only gripe would be that the ice cream machine was down. With tax, tip, and drink about $17 per person. Definitely a vegan or vegetarian's paradise. Fully stocked salad bar with lots of fresh fruits and veggies.
I was at the Golden Corral with a number of my family members for a late lunch. The staff made very easy for all of the member to be served and billed on one check.
The GC also reserved a room for our family. They made our visit a great dining experience.
Food was really really good! I love how clean the environment was. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I can't get enough of this southern cooking mannn!!!!!!! Remember if you come to an a restaurant on a very busy day with a wait, you don't know if they are short staffed, or if they are behind on some things, while still trying to be there for all of us. Be mindful y'all and come with an empty stomach!!!!
The food was good, just wish they hadn't made the seafood salad so minced. Our attendant (not a server) didn't even check our ticket to see what we were drinking and didn't ask (but neither did the cashier, she just assumed it was sweet and that my husband was getting water) about the tea I was getting (unsweet). She had to be stopped and asked to bring coffee to the table. Then she just showed up with a glass of sweet tea, I asked her "did you ask about the tea?" She said "no" got mad when I spoke up and told her she should have, called her manager. We spoke with him, explained the issue, he said he would handle it in house and things were good 😊
I arrived just after 8 am on Sunday July 30th. I ordered a 2 egg vegetable omelette which was very tasty. I also had some crispy bacon that was slightly greasy along with a garden salad, fresh watermelon and other fruits. I ended my meal with the crust of bread pudding, red jello, and whipped cream.

This Golden corral is way better than the Golden corral in Gastonia. The Golden corral in university is much cleaner and the food is way better, the building does not look abandoned but still open to feed people. I would definitely recommend this Golden corral in the university area off of North Tryon. Family environment kid-friendly, BUT just tend to YOUR CHILDREN WHEN THEY GO TO GET FOOD. PROPER SUPERVISION FROM PARENTS WHEN THE KIDS ARE AT THE BUFFET LINE WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. AND EVERYONE KNOWS THAT CORONAVIRUS IS STILL AROUND SO WEAR YOUR GLOVES/WASH YOUR HANDS BEFORE YOU GO GET FOOD THANK YOU.
