Good Food. You sort of need to overlook the lack of ambience of the dining area and just know the food here is very good. Kitchen really knows NY/NJ style of Italian food. Wait staff is friendly and attentive. The pizza is terrific and comparable to that served by other NY pizza places in the area (e.g., Tony's, Lorenzo's, etc). However, what sets this restaurant apart from the others are the menu items, e.g. if you have a desire for a good pasta and sausage dish, you will find it here. I wouldn't necessarily travel a great distance way to come to this restaurant, but if you are in the Ballantyne area this most definitely is a solid choice.
Food is pretty good. Small selection of items but that keeps it simple. The pizza however...wowie mowie! We always get the buffalo chicken pizza and they never fail to deliver a good pie. Nice crunch on the outside of the crust and chewy texture inside. Good NY style pizza.
I've only tried the pizzas (on multiple occasions) and they are fresh, crisp and flavorful. They use fresh ingredients and you can taste the difference! Very rarely we have leftovers, but when we do they are usually terrible the next day. You have to eat it fresh out of the oven so it's nice and crispy. Sort of pricey, but u get what u pay for.

Great Italian Restaurante. I have been in the Charlotte area for almost three years now and it took me this long to find an excellent casual dinning Italian restaurant. I came from Rochester, NY and the town is loaded with non-chain (family owned) Italian restaurants that offer authentic Italian dishes, pizzas and deserts that are to die for at a reasonable price. Libretto's in Ballantyne I feel can compete with the best! It was my first visit there so I will be going back next week to try some different dishes and I hope my experience that I just had is repeated. The food and service were excellent! We had the chicken french, chicken parm and baked ziti and all were excellent! I also saw on their menu they can actually make your pizza NYC thin, Sicilian thick or can you believe it what they call Grandma a pizza with a medium type crust, neither too thin nor too thick. Can't wait to try it because it's impossible to get it in the Fort Mill, SC area unless you go to Pizza Hut and Dominos. Yes, I can't believe it I had to go Dominos or Pizza Hut to get a pizza that was someone eatable with a medium crust. I never went to those places in Rochester. Libretto's for medium crust pizza next week, can't wait!!!!

Good pizza, slow service. We visited as a group of 5 on a Saturday at noon. Had the caprese and Tuscan salads, and two medium pizzas. The food was very good, although the pizza could have been a bit hotter when it arrived (I suspect that it sat cooling for a few minutes before our server brought it out).
We were a bit disappointed by the lack of attention from our server, who wasn't around very often in spite of the restaurant not being busy at the time.
Awesome. I don't know where to start. I have enjoyed every part of the 3 times that I dined there. The pizza is incredible. Great flavor, great crust. The pasta dishes are hot and tasty. The service is great. Best in the neighborhood.
Went for lunch today with my young kids. Was good food and our server was great. A very positive experience.
Took my 3 yr old the other day and it was really good. They claim to be kid friendly (and they are) but u wouldn't know it upon walking in. A liitle more upscale than the typical pizza joint. Really good kid menu though, and they give crayons. Food was good- had the Hawaiian and house salad. Very good service.
Love the jukebox in the bar area! Reminds me of the bars back in the day when we can put quarters and play a favorite song or two ❤️😇. Pizza was really thin crust but a bit too salty for our taste. Most importantly they are open Mondays! Great vibe neighborhood bar, support local businesses‼️
Haven't been here in about ten years, but slices were just as good as I remembered.
We may have found our new favorite pizza place! We saw their food from a local food blogger and decided to give it a try. Our group ordered the garlic knots, meatballs and crispy potatoes as an appetizer - all amazing! Also had a small pepperoni pizza with pesto, buffalo wings and a side of broccoli - I have no complaints. Especially the broccoli, sauteed with garlic and olive oil so I appreciated the flavor. We didn't realize the deli shop is partnered with Librettos so we will be back to try the sandwiches!
Pizza was great! We ordered the margarita and New Yorker pizza and they both were delicious but the margarita it’s definitely my favorite! The service was fast on a Saturday night. We got a sandwich to go and hopefully that would be great as well.
Librettos is serving up New York style Pizza for sure ! Mike the owner makes everything great & with love & you can tell he truly cares about pleasing and taking care of his customers!
Everything we tried here was bursting with flavor ! One bite and you feel like you have been transported to the bustling streets of NY city . Outisde of the NY style pizza our favorite was the stuffed pinwheels . The combination of peppers, onions , cheese & sausage had my tastebuds having a full blown party because it was jam packed with plenty of flavor so I highly recommend the pinwheels . Soon they will have small plate/tapas options which I am excited about .
Give them a try and enjoy a slice of the big apple right here in the Queen City !
2nd visit here and the customer service was great! I had Cami and she was very attentive and had a great personality. They have great prices.The food is pretty good. Good happy hour & drink specials are really good as well.
The 4 stars is only because my chicken tenders were a dry and the fries weren’t as good as the last time . Every thing was else was great . I’d absolutely come again.
We had a bad experience at first with Librettos, we got pizza and our subs were made wrong for takeout, the pizza got soggy by the time the other sub was remade. The manager called my husband and apologized for the inconvenience & offered for us to come back in next time, dine in, and they will take care of us. We went back after a few weeks and Doug took great care of us, made menu recommendations, service was great & the food was amazing. Best pizza we have had since moving from Boston, will definitely be back here!!!

Librettos strikes again! Had family in town and needed to get some food catered for Sunday dinner! Librettos is my go to for all things Italian, not just pizza! My family is still raving about the food, days later! Garlic knots are amazing, sausage and peppers is phenomenal (my new favorite and go to) and the marinara with the al dente cooked rigatoni was magical perfection!! Their sauce is hands down the best around. The perfect amount of sweetness, with well balanced spice. Not that this should even matter with such delicious food, but their pricing for the amount you get, honestly can’t be beat! I obviously took the food home so I can’t comment on service, but what I can tell you is that the employees I interacted with when I picked it up, were all so pleasant and accommodating for any “extras” that I needed. (Plates, plasticware, etc..) Also, the vibe in there was very relaxed and enjoyable as I watched guests sitting at a full bar area watching football and embracing the food! Love this place! They absolutely know what they are doing! Keep it up and I will be coming back for years to come! Can’t recommend enough!
Good crust is very important to me in a pizza! Mine was great, sauce great also. Got something different, a Lasagna pizza. Messy with the Ricotta and meat sauce, I loved it! Young lady served me well! You need to try this restaurant if you love garlic and tomatos!
10/29/23 Today the waitress must not have liked me at all. Had to ask for a menu, did not get a salad before the meal either. Pizza was ok, the crust chewy.
I'll wait 'till the brick oven opens on Abby Road next time!
The place is very welcoming, and the atmosphere is great. Very clean and the staff is friendly and professional. The pizzas are great, definitely NY style pizza in the queen city. Varieties of pizzas, beers, salads, and great appetizers. Definitely coming back.
