The food here is legit, with the fried rice maybe the most impressive to me. They also cook meats very well/appropriately. Is it the best sushi I have ever had? Maybe not. But it is absolutely among the best I have had in this area. What makes it worth the high rating is the value for the ingredient quality you receive and the efficiency of the service. Based on the pricing, there is outstanding value present at this place. The service works like a well oiled machine; they keep the food and drinks flowing, all accompanied with a culture of courtesy. If I lived in the area, this place would be frequented with some type of regularity.
Amazing restaurant overall. The food was fantastic, the service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was superb.
My girlfriend had her birthday party here, and the staff was accommodatable. We had brought in a cake and they stored it for us until it was time when our friends were here.
We waited a reasonable amount of time for our food, and it was well worth the wait. The staff were very helpful and kind, as well as funny and joined us for her birthday celebration.
We will definitely come here again for the food and overall, the quality of everything that was offered.
Had a good time here. Sushi was good, but not the best I’ve had. The menu is a bit confusing and the bartender spent more time trying to upsell me instead of helping me order what I wanted.. but overall it was a good meal.

You are greeted quickly, seated quickly, the service in here is phenomenal, from the hosts, to the servers & busboy, to the bar. They’re all great.
Food is amazing, the appetizers I had (takoyaki, karaage, scallops) were sooo tasty and piping hot too! The Nabeyaki Udon is perfect, noodles perfectly al dente and the most flavorful broth ever, the Tonkotsu Ramen has the most rich and creamy soup I’ve had in a while.
Drinks are awesome too! Jackie made me the best Espresso Martini I had around town, a great and professional bartender. Do not miss on the house specialty martinis!
I can’t speak for the sushi as I didn’t have any in this visit, but I can assure you that this place will not disappoint you.
Had the chef choice sashimi. Pork bun, and I forgot what the name of the sushi roll I got was. i believe it was Alberto roll , 4 everything was great. Old fashion 👌
On one of our nights out, we wanted some of our favorite foods from a nearby sushi restaurant. When we looked at the menu, we definitely had to go to Yamazaru. Naj loves the Hamachi Kama and Kimchi, we both love grilled squid and shishito, and cocktails of course. We were greeted warmly by the host and our waiter was polite. We had a lovely night eating outside in the pleasant brisk North Carolina air under the bright red umbrellas.
This is currently my favorite sushi spot in Charlotte. The quality and taste of all the food and sushi is superb and very fairly priced compared to most places here. I always receive friendly and quick service!
Excellent sushi. We walked in with 10 min to close and they happily fixed our rolls to go, quickly. So fresh and delicious! Would love to have this restaurant local in our home town as we would eat here often. A little pricey but apparently that's normal for Dallas and good sushi. Nice outdoor seating and ambient indoor seating.
We purchased food through Ubereats. The delivery time ended up getting pushed back due to a lack of drivers. It took 20 minutes longer than planned, but the food was better than some of the food I’ve had from other places fresh. The calamari was cooked perfectly, it was melt in your mouth good. The sushi was all amazing. Miso soup was great. We were VERY impressed! We will be back anytime we are in the area.
My sister and I came here for dinner and I must say it did not disappoint. We both tried the miso soup... delicious 😋. I'm not a raw sushi eater but my sister is. I ordered the Kelly Green Roll which is just shrimp tempura with cream cheese and California Roll.... absolutely amazing! I forget what my sister ordered but took pictures. So check them out. My recommendation is to get there early or make reservations in advance. We had to wait like 40 minutes before we were seated bc the place is kinda small. The atmosphere is definitely family-friendly as well as a chill date night friendly. Oh! And they even have a to-go window for those who just want to pick up their food. All in all, this is a spot I will definitely be visiting again....However, it will be before 8pm though 😉.
