Harwood Gold is my favorite spot downtown Charlevoix to meet friends and catch up. Their coffee, provided by Long Day Coffee, is the best in town and such a wonderful accompaniment to their fresh baked-goods. The staff is friendly and helpful and very competent, especially when whipping up an espresso drink. Their meat pies are delicious and unique, and I love the convenience of the new grab and go wraps and salads. Everything they make is carefully thought out and prepared. The maple products are certainly their trademark. It’s so neat to see a family operation perfecting these recipes over 5 generations. I love sharing their syrups, sauces and my favorite, “Nuts About Cherries” mix, with newcomers to our beautiful town. It’s definitely a must for anyone visiting Charlevoix.
I cannot think of a place I would rather go for a coffee, a snack, a grab-n-go meal, or a sit down meal! What Amber and her team have done at Harwood Gold is nothing short of amazing. The atmosphere is great, the service is top notch and the food and drinks are amazing. Do yourself a favor and check this place out if you haven't already.

A cozy cafe where you can enjoy a tasty hand-pie with a good cup of coffee in charming northern Michigan. There are a variety of well-made products to shop such as the local maple syrup and my personal favorite, the maple sriracha. I recommend stocking up on one of everything for your pantry.
We came in for a drink and a snack this afternoon. We tried the Braised brisket and portobello meat pie and were delightfully pleased. It was flavorful, filling, and served warm.
My husband had the cinnamon toast crunch iced latte, it was even served with cinnamon toast crunch cereal too! I had the golden milk iced latte and it was really good too! The store had a great gift shop with unique items. They also had a grab and go fridge with salads and meat and cheeses. We will definitely come back!
This cafe and shop is truly exceptional, offering a delightful selection of locally crafted and sourced items. Every detail, from the ingredients to the presentation, showcases a remarkable level of care. The infused syrups are a genuine treat, boasting both uniqueness and delectable flavors. The granola is delightful, and without a doubt, the finest latte I've experienced on American soil—quite a feat, especially considering my residence in Melbourne, a city renowned for its coffee aficionados.
Best coffee in town, and their homemade hand pie's are something else entirely! One visit in this Northern Michigan gem and you’ll feel a piece of home, wanting to come back again and again. Harwood Gold is a special place.

The savory pies and maple treats are amazing. Harwood Gold Cafe has become a frequent stop for breakfast or lunch for me when I visit Charlevoix. The leak, bacon breakfast pie I had this morning had a flavorful rich gravy and a wonderfully egg that had poached in the gravy as the pie baked. The staff was very friendly and were kind enough to let me use my travel mug for coffee, even washing it out for me.
Awesome coffee shop in Charlevoix. They have a cozy spot by their front picture windows to relax and take in the sights and sounds of a small town.
The service was excellent and the atmosphere was laid-back and informal. A great place to meet friends or catch up with the internet.

We tried the breakfast hand pie and coffees. Did not disappoint. Great atmosphere to enjoy you're coffee. Store is well laid out and has quality products to buy as well.
