Great fried chicken and waffles. Still great breakfast at the quarrier!

This was our second time enjoying dinner at the Elements, and I must say, this place has it going on. Everyone is super friendly! The chef and owner are very engaging, and the staff has great knowledge of the menu, the way it should be. I love this place for the fact that they aren't afraid to season their food. Don't expect A-1 sauce on the table, but do expect some damn fine food!

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner last night at Elements (it was our first time there.) We really enjoyed the deviled eggs with candied bacon appetizer. My husband’s steak was perfect as was my entree the rabbit. Our waitress, Nina, was gracious and easily accommodated our GF palate.

This is not your father's Quarrier Diner. It's better in some ways & in other ways; it may take a little getting used to. First, the best hot dogs in town will be made by somebody else. It's not on the menu. The selection of salads are appetizing but without my favorite bleu cheese dressing, I chose to pass on them. Although they tell me the specially-made Gorgonzola Dressing is almost as good; ("so good, you can't tell the difference"). Unfortunately, they were making a fresh batch & it wasn't ready yet. A very tasty (& filling) bacon cheese burger topped with swiss cheese & apple is outstanding. The hand cut fries are good, but it's hard to find A-1 or any steak sauce. Soft Jazz music & comfortable tables replaced those neat (but cramped) retro-style booths. The fountain features craft made root beer, sarsaparilla & other cool refreshments for a hot summer day. So, my research didn't seem complete without a craft root beer to go. Although it seems some plans are still in the making, the likelihood of old fashioned fountain sodas (& dare I say, milkshakes?) may be on the horizon. As for now, I'll plan to return for maybe a chicken or baked steak dinner. The 1947 opening is a long time & half a century ago. I'll return for a more complete report. The old "Q.D.'s" gone; and The Elements is the new place in town.
