Kwei Fei is an absolute gem that left us in awe from start to finish. It's a dining experience that's hard to forget. First, let's talk about the food. The pork belly was an absolute standout; it's undoubtedly the star of their menu. Each bite was a mouthwatering explosion of flavor that left us craving for more. The service at Kwei Fei is top-notch. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure you have a memorable visit. They are attentive, friendly, and make you feel right at home. What truly sets Kwei Fei apart is the innovative and exciting array of flavors on their menu. Every dish we tried was an adventure for our taste buds. It's a place where culinary creativity knows no bounds, and it's incredibly fun to explore. We loved every single item we ordered. Each dish had its unique charm and was executed flawlessly. Kwei Fei's commitment to delivering an exceptional dining experience is palpable in every bite. It's also worth noting that Kwei Fei is an LGBTQ safe space, which is something we greatly appreciate. It's a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone can feel comfortable and valued. Lastly, a shoutout to our server who was absolutely exceptional. Their knowledge of the menu and passion for what they do added an extra layer of enjoyment to our visit. In summary, Kwei Fei is a culinary treasure. It offers delectable dishes, superb service, intriguing flavors, and a warm, inclusive atmosphere. We can't wait to return and explore the rest of the menu. Kwei Fei, you've won our hearts!

THIS PLACE IS HEAVEN! We visited Kwei Fei for the first time a few days ago and we were blown away by how good this place was! This place serves up REAL Chinese food so much better than any other place even remotely in the area! If you’re wanting to try food that’s actually served in China, without visiting China, you should come here. I should know - I visited China for 3 weeks a few years back and this food is very similar to what I had over there. It was so wonderful to try real Chinese food again, and not the American Chinese food you find everywhere across the country. We ordered many different things including: hibiscus mango tea, Malambo No. 1 mocktail, crescent dumplings, hong shao rou, dan dan mian, la zi ji, and sichuan beef. We didn’t really like the drinks too much honestly, but the food was spectacular! Our absolute favorites were the crescent dumplings and hong shao rou. They were the best dumplings and pork belly dishes we have ever eaten! We are craving this place already, despite just coming, and are hoping we’re back in the Charleston area again soon to try this place again!! We also saw they’re opening a new restaurant at a different location in downtown Charleston, so I would imagine that place is excellent as well! Moral of the story though: try Kwei Fei out ASAP if you’re in the area!!

The food was amazing we came here for our wedding anniversary to try Kwei Fei’s Sichuan style cuisine and they did not disappoint! The server was nothing but amazing but because dining in during a hot summer month the heat was unbearable even indoors. The atmosphere was small and nice and I love the water drop decoration by the bar.

This was authentic Szechuan.... flavor flavor wow! Everything was tasty. They serve family style so bring a bunch of friends. The silk beef was amazing. The banging hot chicken was fire hot! Just an FYI the sour spicy mushroom are woodear mushroom...a little different than regular one, very tasty however a different texture. Very good bring your adventures side with you... will not be disappointed.

One of top 3 favorite restaurants in Charleston, and I’ve lived here for over a decade! Always have a good time here and the food is unique and flavorful and always an experience. This is how food&bev should be—easygoing staff with delicious food. Shoutout to Peter and Karina behind the bar, and Libby also!

This place is freaking fantastic!! My tongue has had dreams about the tingling La Zi Ji since our first visit. In fact I had one last night about all the decadent flavors this place offers and I knew this morning I had to order delivery for lunch to enjoy from home. Worth every penny. This place has me in a choke hold. Dan Dan Mian, fire peanut-buttery noodles. Sweet water noodles, I don’t even know how to describe but crack. Mouth watering crack. Get an order of those for just yourself, trust me. Crescent dumplings? Also fire. Thank you guys for bringing this absolute beauty of a restaurant to the Island!!

I had a wonderful experience dining alone at Kwei Fei. The Sichuan dishes are creatively conceived, beautifully prepared and presented, and delicious. I rarely eat dessert, but I'm just gonna say that the vanilla ice cream with chili crisp and Sichuan peanuts is incredible. It's a reason to live. My server was friendly and helpful and really added to an overall great evening out.

My other half been wanting to eat here for a while now and we finally had time to go for last minute dinner. We sat at the bar and ordered four river wings, pork dry pot, tingly beef noodle, and stir fry local mushroom. My favorite from tonight is the wings, because it has the good mix of hot, well seasoned crispy goodness chicken wings and I cant shake the numbness from the sechuan peppers but I know my wife loves this type of food and sechuan numbness heat so all the food left over will be her breakfast tomorrow!

If you enjoy Sichuan food then this is the place to be at… you will enjoy a peppery tingling on your tongue after every bite and enjoy the spicy curry of each dish which is unique. The appetisers quantity is resent enough and the food quantity of the main course is quite good. It does come with curry and you can always order for an extra rice. It has a bar and a common toilet as well.

Had a quick super devious dinner at Kwei Fei. I was pleasantly surprised by the creative menu. We started with the special scallion oil cold noodles which were amazing. I had the tofu dish which was cooked to perfection and my husband said his beef dish was amazing. The veggie dumplings were perfect as well. I will definitely be returning to try the other dishes on the menu and to savor the unique ingredients/flavors that comprise each dish.
