Absolutely fantastic food. Best fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese I've ever had. Pork chops and greens were perfectly seasoned. Service was awesome, the ladies were so sweet. I can not recommend this place enough!

We were a little concerned when we pulled up and there were no cars in the lot. Food is awesome, service was great. The atmosphere is similar to a diner. Started with the gumbo, highly recommended. The ham and Brie was very tasty. I had the pork chops with grits and peas, everything was extremely good. Carrot cake on special was very tasty. If we lived closer we'd be here a lot.

What a nice find! We had a great lunch at The Glass Onion, mostly because our waitress was the absolute best server I've had in many years but also because the food was good too. If i could give 10 stars for service I would! The entire tabled loved the food, especially the chicken sandwich and fried green tomatoes. My blackened catfish was a bit too salty but was perfectly fried and the plate was still wiped clean. Just ask for less salt if you order it (to be on the safe side).

Perfect mashed potatoes! I come here twice a month to have a family dinner with my brother and niece. We have been doing this for about a year now. I just tried the mashed potatoes for the first time and my mind was blown. They are just the right amount peppery! I didn’t know I would like this but it’s revolutionary. I recommend the fried shrimp plate, fried catfish, trout dish, and beet salad!

Food was amazing!! Menu reassures us there are dozens of reasons to come back again and again. Wife and I both had the gumbo, very good! Corn muffins are probably the best i have ever had!! Collards are amazing, especially with their house made vinegar, something to make grandma proud!! Service was a little slow, it was lunch time a d looked like they were short handed, but everybit worth a slight wait. Hats off to the GO.

The best fried green tomatoes, corn bread, gumbo... everything we had was delicious! The staff were so kind and friendly! Our waitress Brianna was amazing made us feel like one of the family! Lawson was so kind and welcoming from the moment we walked in. Will definitely come back when in Charleston! Don't miss out on this place!!

This place is fantastic! The food and service was phenomenal. Our server was so sweet and informative. I got the braised pork belly and my daughter got the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich. The red pepper jelly that came with my pork was so good. The sauce on the chicken sandwich was absolutely delicious. After trying their pimento cheese we bought some to go. We will definitely be going back.

I had read recent reviews hence the visit. We're on holiday from the UK and having recently visited 5spot at Sandfly who offer shrimps and grits at an identical price (they were absolutely excellent) this is what I chose again. I had been advised to purchase a side of cornbread by my waitress to soak up the excess juice but I received smashed potatoes instead. There was incidentally no excess sauce/juice so I actually didn't require any sides so I felt a little misled. My fellow diner ordered meatloaf and this was a good choice for them. As you can see from the photo of my meal there was barely enough juice for my grits.

Enjoyed first time at The Glass Onion. The meal was delicious with wonderful coffee and great service. I enjoyed the Ham & Cheese Po Boy while my friend had the Pork Belly. We will return soon to try more options on the menu!
