Pho 4 U

Great local pho spot to satisfy that pho craving. They are very prompt in taking your order and serving the food. Oddly you have to request for a small bowl to put the sauce in, other pho places have those out on the table. The food is great. Waiting for the check however may take a very long time. They are often short on staff and I usually have to wait at the register to pay instead of sitting and wait for the check to arrive.

This place is pretty big for a pho house. I admit the resturant is clean but that's pretty much the only positive about this place. The server never checked back on me to even bother asking if "everything was ok" or "if i needed anything". The pho was really hot and for a large size, it wasnt that much tbh. They didnt even give me a small dish for me to put the sauces in. The ice water, of course, tasted like water from the faucet....

Pho-real? No more free Thai tea? How un-pho-rtunate....... I guess I took it pho-granted that the free Thai tea offer would be pho-ever. But, alas, pho-geddaboutit! Today, I had the bun rieu soup. The broth was FRF (fatty, rich & fortifying) on this cool pre-Thanksgiving night. Bits of congealed pork blood, pork sausage & escargot made the soup quite tasty. I usually forgo noodles in my Vietnamese soups, in favor of extra bean sprouts, but decided to have the rice vermicelli today. The soup was just the right amount of filling. Not too much, not too little - just right. I docked Pho 4 U 1 star since my last review, partly due to no more free Thai tea and the fact that our attendant never checked on us during our meal. I'm unaware if there was a shift change or if she was on her break, but no courtesy "Are you okay? Do you need anything? More water?". Hence, minus 1 star. I still enjoy the food, though, so I'll be back again. Just maybe not as often since the free Thai tea is the main reason I'd go here in the first place. NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM
