Southside Steakhouse

We decided to come here for a date night and try somewhere new. It was not busy, and the space is gorgeous! Everything is so clean, classy, and very calmly lit. The server was very sweet and prompt. Our food was incredible! Hubby had the New York Strip and I had the steak and veggie pasta. We have a wish list of other items to try. We will definitely be back!!

The steaks were not very good. I’m not sure how they call themselves a steakhouse. But they have an aquarium with a pleco! (There’s some oscars or something too but who cares) Species looks like Hypostomus plecostomous. It’s about 6-7” long as of Jan 2019. The tank is only 26-46 gallons, though. That fish is not going to be happy in a tank that small. Poor thing.

Went in on a busy Saturday night and the food was so good!! They looked like they were a little short handed but they handled it well. The staff was working very hard and we had great service!! My New York Strip was perfectly cooked and my friend loved her ribeye. This is a small family owned and ran place. Definitely worth the visit!!! Highly recommended!

My father and I tried it out last night. The front dining area was approximately half full, the rear was empty. The atmosphere was pretty nice. When our steaks came they were cooked perfect, and the meat was great quality. The sides we had were good as well. If I were rating the building and kitchen and food only its spot on 5 stars, and although close to $30 for the steak, priced on mark. Now the bad part, our waitress. Not all of the waitresses, mind you. Just the one we had. We each ordered a glass of water to start out before we saw menus, eventually were able to order dinner. When it came out it was the last we saw of her for 20 min. Not just at our table, rather in the dining area at all. We actually got up to ask another waitress for the ticket and a box for leftovers. We did get the bill. We had to track her back down to pay it with a card. If I would have sat in the other section, 5 stars. Unfortunately I cant choose that, so we wont be going back.

Ordered the tenderloin filet cooked to medium and it was perfect. The Mac and cheese was creamy and delicious. My husband ordered a pasta dish and another person at our table ordered the sirloin which was also cooked perfectly. Have driven past this place so many times but had never stopped. So glad we did. Waitress was attentive and took care of our table. Met the the owner and chef. Awesome place!

We just happen to drive by looking for a place to eat dinner. Seated immediately. The wait staff was attentive. As we were waiting for our food here comes our salad. Normal. But i kinda forgot I ordered a salad. As soon as I got a couple of bites in....here comes our food. It would have been nice if the salads were earlier so we could have enjoyed them before the hot food. The a/c was cranked so I didn't want cold fish. Food was very tasty. We orderd Alaskan Cod and Prime Rib. Rolls were excellent! Warm and soft. Mmmm. Would I go back again? Yes!!! It was a good experience.
