Babe's Chicken

Babe's truly never disappoints. I came here on a Friday for lunch and was very pleased with the meal I got for $26 bucks and the service was amazing. I had to go with the fried chicken because it's a classic here and I'd had it before. The banana pudding topped it all off. I always love going to Babe's and I will definitely be back.

Really interesting place. The decorations of the place are home style. The food there is served family style you get several vegetables mashed potatoes green beans cream corn biscuits and honey when you run out just ask for more. There are four choices of meat Fried Chicken smoked chicken chicken fried steak and chicken strips and fried catfish. Friendly service and staff. Located off main street. Visiting for the first time can be tricky getting in. Expect about $17 per person. Chicken tenders were juicy and not dry. Plenty of food. Biscuits served warm. Great alone. But even better with honey and butter. Already at the table. Good family environment and experience.

I just heard about this place so we went Saturday. We stood waiting for a few minutes, finally we were seated. The waiter wasn't happy we couldn't understand him. I asked for a menu & was told they didn't have any. I said it's my first time. I promise you I couldn't understand the young man. I should have asked someone else. Our bill was messed up completely. We asked the cashier to explain. She was smart nice nasty but thought we would let it pass, NO! She actually said, if we couldn't pay or wanted something she could get the manager. I told her I can pay but get him. While sitting at our table earlier, it was the same man that went to each table but ours asking how "they" were doing. At the time, we were the only Brown People there. THIS PLACE is Prejudice! When I shared with friends everybody said they didn't go there & I didn't have to share my story!!! Sad they all had bad experiences. When will theses people STOP? SAD just Sad!!!

Such a nostalgic feel from the location to the actual decor. Old school country music plays as you and your family enjoy a warm, home style meal. All the sides were delicious and I don't think you can make a wrong choice when picking your meat of choice. Great service, waitress was fully knowledgeable of the staff and was really good at explaining how their set up works. Super clean and sanitation stations available.
