Absolutely beautiful decor decorated by the owner herself. With the best tasting Thai food I have ever experienced!
This is a family owned restaurant who truly cares for their city and it’s people! Everything you experience here is full of love and care for their guests coming to dine with them.
They have the sweetest, most knowledgeable staff!
A truly memorable experience! We will be definitely coming back to eat every time we come back to visit Carson City!
Oh & You must get the sea bass special with the green curry sauce. It’s outstanding!

Well I was hoping to have a nice dinner with my family. The kids did not finish their meal complaining it smelled like wet dog. I did not finish my rosted duck curry, a salt shaker fell into it I guess. My wife did not finish her seafood salad, refused to tell me why... nice ambient, nice staff.

We are in vacation in Reno and Tahoe and visited Basil restaurant. It was the best Thai food we ever had. The service also an excellent service.
Recommend this restaurant to anyone local or visitor.

We are so in love with The Basil. The food is amazing and so is the staff. While we were ordering, our server asked if we were vegan and when we said yes, she suggested items to order and everything was delicious!

Basil is one of our favorite restaurants anywhere in the area. Went last night and hadn't been for a while. I don't know what all of the other nine were, but last night's meal was squarely in my top ten favorite restaurant meals of all time. Wife and I shared. I ordered the prawns (huge) in the mango sauce. Wife ordered the "pro-ram" yellow curry pork with a little extra peanut sauce. Both were AMAZING!
