Penn's Fish House

They have very good buffet bar that has a very reasonable price. If you like fish I recommend this restaurant especially if you like buffets. It's a great lunch time meal where there is no wait especially if you are pressed for time and want a good meal. Good service also. If you don't mind the gravel parking lot then you'll enjoy yourself.

I stopped in with some friends for lunch. They we at about half capacity with customers and we were told to take a seat. We had a good wait to get a waitress, after ordering our drinks we decided to eat from the bar. Once at the bar we had to wait about five minutes for plates and we found the bar half empty as the picture shows. We decided to get some of the food that was on the bar and we would get more when the trays were refilled. At the other end of the bar we had to wait for our eating utensils. When I asked our waitress how long it would be until the fish was brought out I was told, "There's no fish on the bar." We arrived around 12:30 and left at 1:30, none of the food trays were refilled on the bar. Customers at tge table next to us also had a long wait for their food when they ordered from the menu instead of eating from the bar. The cashier asked us how everything was and I told her it wasn't good. I mentioned the fish and she said, "There's no fish on the bar." She told me they had chicken on the bar and I told here there was no chicken. She said there were pork chops and I told here there were two. She became angry, abruptly returned my payment and told me they were very busy. Really, too busy to see to customers at half capacity? Penn's Fish House is famous for their fried catfish. Why wouldn't you put it in the bar? Next time I may be busy as well . . . eating elsewhere.

The one on Hwy 43 is great. The food is so good. And the people are very nice. Service is great. It's so nice to go in and eat where everyone speaks to everyone. Almost like a family reunion. You just don't really know everyone. But then again, at a family reunion you may not know everyone either. Ha!

We had a company lunch there on December 18th and the service was terrible. They didn't have enough food prepared for us or the other customers. A crowd of Nissan workers left because of the long wait. How can a restaurant run out of food at 12pm when it opens at 11am? All that waiting when the food wasn't even worth the wait. $14.00 for some chicken and porkchop. REALLY!!!

Best fish in Canton hands down. The deal is MWF catfish on the buffet. It's like 12 bucks and has a decent salad bar, 2-3 proteins besides the fish , usually mediocre but sometimes good sides, and a dessert bar. Their hushpuppies are some of the best I've had anywhere, always light and crisp. Will go again , do recommend
