Local On North

Writing this review, this is probably my second or third time and I have yet to be disappointed by the food or drinks or service here! Out of all the places downtown Canton, this is always my first choice. Layla was our server tonight and she was absolutely fantastic!!!! I literally can’t wait to come back again to try something new or enjoy the entertainment! 10/10 would recommend.

This was my first time dining at Local on North, and it won’t be the last. The food was fantastic, the music was very entertaining, and the service was incredible. Our server, Layla, was the absolute best. We will request her by name on future visits. The manager made sure we were pleased with our experience and even walked us out. It felt like being with family. Highly recommended!

I do not give 5/5 stars often but no other review would give do this justice. Came here for a friend’s birthday on a whim and was not disappointed. Everything from the moment we walked was a fantastic experience. Our server Mackenzie was fun, knowledgeable and professional. The food and drinks from start to finish were top quality! Gigi and the fantastic team made our night one to remember.

The place has a nice atmosphere when you walk in. This was our first time here and we joining a friend for her birthday with some others. The place was hot as if their air conditioning was broken. We let the server know and he said they had the door open all day, which made no sense because it was 93 degrees outside. My wife ordered the ahi tuna burger which is supposed to be seated but came out cold in the middle. I get that it is served rare but should not be cold in the middle. The fries on her plate were all the broken little pieces that you find at the bottom of the bag. Some other people at our table had steak tacos, and stated that those were also super cold. She sent the tuna burger back and just shared my special of the day which was pan cooked red snapper with mussels ans shrimp. The fish flavor was good but either over cooked or previously frozen. It was tough, rather than tender and flaky. Everyone in our party agreed that it was just uncomfortable hot inside the restaurant. That does not make for a pleasant dining experience. Management should definitely look into these matters. We are not sure if we will be back again.

We traveled quite a distance to try this restaurant, and it was worth it.....the cocktail menu was great for their handcrafted house drinks. We had Crab cakes and shrimp pasta. Both dishes were excellent. They served mine with horseradish risotto. Everything was seasoned to perfection. Enjoyed a nice conversation with our bartender Brady. We will be going back to Local again because there is so much more to try. Thanks for a pleasant evening.
