Basil Asian Bistro

Another outstanding restaurant owned and operated by the Ly family. The menu includes Thai, sushi and traditional Asian dishes. The Tom Yum soup is the best around. Try the Bangkok spicy fish which is exceptional. The atmosphere is inviting, the service is great and the prices are very reasonable. This is my go to place in Akron/Canton for gourmet Asian fare!

Tried this place for the first time tonight.. It was AMAZING!!! The hostess was very friendly and sat us right away. The wait staff was very attentive, our glasses stayed full, our empty dishes were constantly being cleared, and our food was staggered perfectly from course to course. All of our food choices were amazing, appetizers, sushi, soup, main dishes, rice, lo mein, delicious! The manager Dawn stopped at our table multiple times to ensure we were good. She made it seem like she cared, not just checking us off her list of tables to visit. I highly recommend everyone trying this place, you won’t be disappointed!!

My hubby and I stopped last night for a much needed date night. We got the Basil Special Roll and Calamari to start. Both were incredible! I got the Green Mango Grouper and my husband got the Dragon and Phoenix as entrees. Both were perfect! To top it off, our server, Joe, was hands down the best server I’ve ever had! He is a gem. We will absolutely be back!

I always sit at the bar, but the service is great. Chris is a great bartender and he's very knowledgeable about the menu. Going to Basil alway brightens my day! I haven't found a menu item that I don't like, everything is amazing! Chicken satay is a new favorite, along with the Basil special roll. Highly recommend this place!

Food is decent, but my god the service here is unbearable. Absolutely abysmal. I would have better luck ordering sushi at the DMV. Can’t believe it takes over an hour for one sushi roll while the rest of the table got, and ate, appetizers and most of our entrees (and by most I mean they forgot to put in one of our entrees until we reminded our server after about 30 minutes of waiting). If you see something on the menu appealing it is more worth your time and money to go to the grocery store and make it yourself, considering it’s likely faster to do it. Do not come here unless you have 2+ hours to spend. If you’re in a rush, don’t even step foot in this establishment.
