Beautiful large mansion with spectacular gardens. I cannot believe how luxurious this place is. They have shuttles to take you around the grounds, if you are lucky enough to get Garret as your driver you will hear wonderful stories and the best way to view the gardens. You can roam among the two floors of the mansion by yourself but there are guides available full of information. From the second floor balcony you can see a beautiful view of the Italian gardens and do not miss the awesome Japanese gardens complex with a teahouse. We were running late so we never got a chance to visit the gift shop. They also have a cafe there that we did not have time to visit. They have rows and rows of greenhouses with unusual plants and cacti. I highly recommend visiting.

It was so incredibly beautiful but needs volunteers badly! Some of the green houses were empty. The house is beautiful. Every room has an entrance to the outside. The history is amazing. Definitely take the guided tour

An absolutely delightful experience. Docents and were well familiar with the history of the mansion. Plan on returning spring and summer to see the gardens in their splender

A really stunning house and even cooler gardens, there are Italian, Japanese and more so very cool from a cultural experience. Make sure you have a few hours dedicated to exploring the grounds, it’s massive. Free parking too and not dog friendly

Staff and volunteers are top-notch; stunningly beautiful grounds. It would be worth the time to plan your visit around times the flora begins blooming.

Love this amazing place! There is so much to do and see. The gardens are beautiful. It almost looks like you have arrived in another country. I love the different style gardens and flowers. All the water was running in the fountains including the Japanese garden. The cafe was open. The staff that work the tram are very friendly. As soon as I arrived at the parking lot there was a tram ready to take me to the estate house. This place is a gem and I definitely will be going back there soon!

Lovely gardens & home for all ages. Even the kids enjoyed exploring & filling in the word hunt book. Clean restrooms & friendly staff. We enjoy going here whenever we are in NY.

Beautiful. Did the walking tour. Enjoyed hearing history and stories. If you are thinking of eating at the Cafe, call and plan ahead. Limited availability for walk up ordering, especially with a large group. Didn't have time to visit the tasting room this visit. A bit early for most flowers, annual plantings were in progress. But a beautiful property in any season.

This is one of my favorite places in the USA. I have been to this estate several times. It is sad that such a unique piece of history is losing its beauty every year due to lack of money to maintain it in excellent condition. The gardens around are simply magnificent, they have different themes. The house itself has a warm atmosphere - the atmosphere of home. We always visit the Garden cafe at the entrance to the estate, where the food is very tasty. Also, we always go to the winery, where we buy wine. You can also test wines here. In general, you can spend the whole day here with great pleasure. And the staff in general deserves special thanks for the amazing work and very good treatment of visitors.

One of my favorite places in the area. Each season is beautiful. Plan a leisurely stroll through the gardens and rest and appreciate the beauty. Our last visit even included deer running by the Japanese Garden. Explore the Rock Garden too! Mansion improves every year. The Library is my favorite. Always a pleasant experience.
