Eric's Office Restaurant

First time visit for us, and we were not disappointed. A family owned business since 1997. The front half of the building is a full bar, with a partial wall separating a modest dining area containing tables and booths. Lots of old signs and pictures from Canandaigua's past. They have 3 menus - Lunch (11:00am - 3:00pm), Mid-afternoon (3:00 - 5:00pm) and Dinner (3:00 - Closing). We both had the soup and sandwich specials, delicious, especially the housemade soups - Sweet and Sour Chicken and Pork, and New England Clam Chowder. Back again for the Soup and Sandwich Special. This time it was grilled ham with cheese on rye with chicken vegetable and rice soup or creamy cauliflower. The sandwiches were good and both soups were delicious, though a bit salty for my better half.

Ambiance inside very nice...would not expect that if you judged by the exterior. I've been here a few times and, like every other restaurant now, the prices are up from pre-Covid days. Good variety of offerings so no problem finding something you like. Suggestion to mgmt: a tiny bit more light in dining area needed on overcast days. Hard to read menu or see your dining mates otherwise. Not a big deal

My wife and I had business in Canandagua and searched for a good spot for lunch. Eric's Office fit the bill nicely. We sat on the patio under a big awning and enjoyed great food served efficiently. I had an excellent open faced Reuben served with German potato salad. My wife had the Harvest Salad. We were both very pleased. The portion size was just right for both of us to clean our plates but be perfectly satisfied. I look forward to returning next time I'm in the area.
