The Pine Room

So glad we visited this place for dinner. They have a large vegan menu, I ordered a vegan "chixn" parmesan which was very tasty. The waitress named Meghan was nice and patient. We were surprised at the amount of food we got, as we ordered only 2 menu items, but a bunch of side dishes came with them so our table looked pretty full at one point. The place is spacious, the interior décors look nice, and the bathroom is clean. And more importantly we enjoyed dinner, and had extra to pack for to go.

I’ve done quick sweep of all family owned businesses - as I enjoy supporting local over chains. Decided to try the Pine Room as everything looked made from scratch and fresh. Waitress was so friendly and accommodating too. Table had every condiment you’d want for food as well. I’ve ordered garlic fries, chix vegan plate $14 (forgot actual name, but under vegetarian menu) and clam chowder $4 with hot cocoa $2 to top it all off. The clam chowder arrived soon as I ordered it, and made great appetizer. Chunky soft potatoes, generous clams, and oh-so creamy. In fact, I got full on small bowl! Then came the main dish - faux chicken sandwich with heaping of garlic fries. I cut it in half, and took a bite. It was light and flaky. I couldn’t believe it wasn’t a chicken, and tasted better somehow… I was amazed. All for $20!? It’ll be *double* that in Portland.

Sat on the bar side and had great meals. Each entree starts with shrimp cocktail, followed by homemade bread. I ordered a top sirloin and my b/f had the Cowgirl. Entrees also come with a veggie and potato on the side. The steaks were cooked to perfection! Tried the chocolate cake peanut butter cake for dessert— being born and raised next to Hershey, Pa— this cake was good but the chocolate sauce (Hershey’s) was too sweet for the actual cake. Maybe a garnish of whipped cream would’ve been better? Overall great meal!!

Amazing food, for a more then fair price. The server was so sweet and accommodating! I imagine they don’t to much wrong. If you don’t know, Get the prime rib, it’s incredible and SOooo much food. The shrimp cocktail is so well done, perfectly portioned. This steak house has a lot going for it, must try!

My dearest friend and I met in Burns as a half-way point between our locations... we each drove almost 3 hours. We had 2 nights in Burns and after experiencing Boomers down the road, we quickly left and walked the opposite direction. The 1st place we saw was The Pine Room. It is a cute Saloon, having a Bar side and a Dining side. We went into the bar side and had Matt as our server. We quickly took to him even though he had to come back on more then one occasion to give us news that the kitchen had ran out of items we selected. It wasn't a big deal, its a small town and things can be hard to get right now, so he got the right table! Ha. We spent the night enjoying the atmosphere there, people watching and chatting up our server, Matt. Did I say how awesome he was? Very attentive and helpful! The next night we decided to stick to what we knew and went back to The Pine Room. We already confirmed Matt was working, ha! So again, we got great service and also the last table available without a reservation sign on it! Matt greeted us and let us know what they Did have available off the bat!!! (So awesome!) We met some locals and played pool with them for a few hours... it was a FREE pool table! The bartender on shift (Cali, sorry if I goofed the spelling) was also great and we joked around a little while she busted her butt waiting a 10 top on the banquet side of the room. Ive bartended and waited tables before and the feeling this place gave off was very comforting and warm. We will definitely be back! Probably in 6 months and make it a normal thing!!! Thank you All! AMAZING! Super friendly service! Seated right as we entered the door. Very accommodating and kind with our children, specifically setting food and drinks out of reach so nobody would get hurt. HUGE food portions. Like an insane, stomach ache amount because it's so good you dont want to stop! Free shrimp cocktail, free bread given to our children. Big bowls of soup that will fill you before you get your food and so good! Kids meals are huge as well and eagerly eaten by our children. Salmon was amazing, half rack of ribs was huge and so yummy. At the end the ended up not having ice cream for the kids meals so they brought us two full brownies even though we only ordered one kids meal! If I could give 10 stars I would have!
