The food was great. Paneer dishes are highly recommended. The cook/owner will ask you about the food and your experience which is not usual in Indian restaurants. I would suggest that that order ahead because the items will take a lot of time to cook which is something good as they are served fresh. Also, I wouldn't recommend their chicken curry but their chicken chilly was awesome.
Overall the food was very good except that it was a bit salty. We ordered lamb vindaloo and chicken aasala with garlic Naan and tandoori chicken. You need to pay for the water ( $1 bottle of water ), no water provided. I felt this way was safer and had no problem paying $1 for the water. The portion was big so that I had to have another curry for the dinner. After I put veges at home for my dinner, it was well seasoned to my taste. You must try tandoori chicken and recommended menus there.
If you like spicy, they can make it very spicy. They didn't do a buffet at the time I visited!
Wow!
They have so many more varieties of naan and bread than other Indian restaurants I’ve been too. I had regular and cheese + herb filled, and it came hot and directly from the oven, and was great.
They asked us our desired spice level and the rice, chicken makhni and vegetable dish were delicious. I will be coming here again. Also, the lassis were a hit.
Food was good here. Had ordered paneer tikka masala and garlic naan. The paneer was soft. The curry was good home indian style. One of the staff was not welcoming.
Fantastico! I had a lamb dish, a chicken appetizer and some garlic naan. I haven’t had amazing Indian food like this in over a decade! If you’re nearby, or even somewhere in the region, it’s worth the detour. 10/10 recommended.
Great service! Amazing food! Fish Pakoras where amazing! I recommend this place!!!
You know this place was going to taste good when there’s a kid in the corner doing their homework. As I continue to explore Buffalo’s food scene, I was surprisingly floored with the quality of food my wife and I ate at this establishment. My wife wanted the oh-so-popular butter chicken and I ordered the goat curry. We also added an order of garlic naan (as anyone should!). When the food arrived, we were impressed with how good the food was. The butter chicken was so creamy and savory that I’m salivating thinking about it while I’m typing this review. And the goat curry was just as delicious (even though it had cilantro in it haha). As you can see from the picture, the portions may be smaller than expected but if you value quality Indian food, Tandoori hut will not disappoint you. The place is also located on a great spot where college students can easily go to. The restaurant itself is pretty small and parking is limited. I recommend coming in on a slow day and maybe a small-ish company or go solo! We plan to visit again soon.
