Love this place. Clean, great pizza and a nice staff. Highly recommend it if you are in the Buffalo State area.
Awesome!. We had a really complicated order and they handled it with ease. Love the pizza, and the staff is friendly as long as you treat them respectfully! (Like any human being, duh) GO JOE!
Joes pizza is great if you get the glass display but if you order a pizza its not the same, to get that brick crust the pizza needs to air and then reheated in a brick oven that gives you that crispy crust, good pizza is not made in 20 minutes ( its a process ) pizza that has been put in a brick oven 2-3 times is New York style pizza, if that's what you want tell them & it will taste like New York pizza, you may wait longer but at least your getting what you want.
They used to be the only good ny pizza in town. just called there and they are apparently going through a change of management. Having lived near by and feeding off the deliciousness many times I offer fair warning that it may not be the same place when you visit.
edit:
As an update I talked with them about the change of management, and it's all good. They actually went back to the original owners. They're still the best NYC pizza around.
As someone who is used to NYC style pizza, this is THE best in Buffalo I've seen so far. Crust is thin and delicious, slices are huge, sauce is great. Pizza prices are reasonable. Other menu items are very inexpensive and going to be my go to place for italian food in Buffalo. I recommend Joe's to anyone who loves pizza. Owner also seems very nice and is from the NYC boroughs. If you want REAL NY pizza, that is both delicious and made the way it should be, stop by Joe's! I'll upload pictures of the latest menu.
The price Is reasonable. The crust is good. The ricotta base for the white Pizzas need more salt, spices & mozz in the mixture b4 applying to the dough. The chicken and steak need more salt and spice during the cooking process b4 adding to the pizza. They r very blah tasting. Overall I give Joes a 3 out of 5
Best new york style in town. I can say hands down this is my favorite pizzeria in town. They always have an amazing assortment of fresh slices, heated to perfection in the oven in front of you. One of the only new york style places I really enjoy. The greek pizza and deep dish chicken wing are both excellent. Garlic knots are very tasty, pasta dishes are huge. Owned locally by Riverside resident.
p.s. The owner is born and raised in the East Side of Buffalo and moved to Riverside in his teens. He is not from NYC. The lovely, loud and always fun Bob at the counter, who is not the owner, however is from NYC. A lot of people make this mistake.
Bleu cheese & Buffalo chicken pizza was outrageously huge and delicious - $16.99 - we got it for the two of us but it was enough for four. Awesome.
One of the first restaurants that Alli introduced me to when we started dating was Gino and Joe's in the Main Place Mall . Since then, in 2008, Joe opened up his own pizza place located in the Tops plaza off Grant Street (behind Buff State campus). In a u
