The restaurant's full bar was a definite highlight. They had an impressive selection of tequilas and other spirits, making it an excellent choice if you're in the mood for a delicious margarita or another specialty cocktail. However, when it came to the food, there was a hiccup. I ordered a salad, but it arrived at the table quite wet, which was disappointing. I had hoped for a fresh and crisp salad, but the excess moisture seemed to drown the flavors a bit. So opt out on ordering a salad. Despite this minor setback with the salad, the rest of the meal was enjoyable. The Mexican cuisine had authentic flavors and a good variety of dishes to choose from. The friendly and accommodating staff made the dining experience pleasant, ensuring we felt well taken care of throughout our visit.

This is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants in the area. They always cook good food. Our favorites are Chicken Quesadilla, Burrito Loco, and Carne Asada stake. Be careful as the portions are very big. Come to this place and enjoy some good Mexican food with a few margaritas. You will not be disappointed.

My wife and I joined another couple for lunch at Mi Mexico in Wheeling, IL. The weather was perfect, so we ate outside in their attractive, well-maintained garden area. The menu is typical Mexican with a large variety of choices; prices were average for this class of restaurant. The Lunch Specials were many, all priced at $13.50 and served with refried beans, Mexican rice, and cole slaw. Items in the Supreme section of the menu include tortillas as well and are priced at $2.00 more. I chose the Chimichanga with chicken filling while my wife opted for the Expresso Veggie Burrito. Our friends chose Arroz Con Pollo and the Chicken Carnitas from the Supreme specials. The food was freshly prepared, tasty, and not overly seasoned or salted; portion sizes are about average. Service by Santos was rendered in a timely fashion. Overall, we were quite pleased and hope to return again, perhaps for dinner.
