Everything we had was absolutely delicious. Fresh ingredients, well seasoned, even better executed. Money well spent

This was the first restaurant I ate at after I moved into Park Slope! What a gem of a place. The food here is unique and the flavors are amazing! It’s a little on the pricier side, but the quality of the food is worth it. If you’re in the mood for a margarita, this is your place! They have some decent happy hour specials too. There is a quaint backyard area that is so lovely. Definitely check this place out!

They serve big dishes and for reasonable pricing. very welcoming owner. I recommend this place.

Obviously much more bougie than the humble fonda after which it's named, but the quality of the food is outstanding. The margaritas are delicious and the caramel cake divine.
They have seating on the road, as well as in the back, and the back yard especially is very cozy, almost romantic.

I found this place after COVID -19, great atmosphere. They have homemade authentic tortillas. I had steak tacos, they were good, salmon and guacamole had great flavors. We had two drinks the tamarin margarita (I didn’t like) and I forgot the other drinks name was good. They have outside dining, one in front and one in the back. The dinning in the back is very nice but the mosquitos were strong that day.

The vibe in this place is great! They have interesting cocktails that are inspired by more traditional drinks. The food is alright, seemingly fun combinations - but I wasn’t blown away. Pre-covid I spent $230 here between me and my friend for their birthday dinner. For the price, I would not choose Fonda for dinner again. However, I will likely return for cocktails and maybe small plates or tapas as happy hour.

We enjoyed Fonda a lot in the Before Times, although we did not go often: it was often difficult to get a table or a seat at the bar. Their style of Mexican (fancy + if I'm not mistaken, Yucatan-style) is not my top favorite, but they do a fantastic job of it, and every dish I've had here has always been really tasty. Service has always been gracious and shown attention to detail. They are the #1 refined-dining Mexican restaurant in Park Slope, hands down (I'm not counting hole-in-the-wall/cheap taco places).
COVID-era comments: I have been impressed with their attention to details during the pandemic in the two times we have dined on their outdoor patio in the back. Once their plastic menus felt damp as if they had been recently cleaned. All the workers appear masked indoors and outdoors any time that I've seen them. They have a touch-less payment system, and the second time I came, they provided hand sanitizer. The person who appears to be the manager or owner takes pains to keep his distance. I can't speak to the indoor dining conditions, but it seemed rather full inside.

Very clean and convenient place. They provide large meals and for economical rates. I enjoyed the food very much and the staff members were very attentive and chatty. Recommended.
