It seems after the Pandemic, the food has been getting worse. They need to change the cooks and the quality of the food as well. I have been here several times and I usually get the oxtail and every time i have it, it’s hard and taste like it’s old. For the price of oxtail, it should taste fresh not. Old and stale. The rice is also soggy, Pattie’s are old and stale and food just doesn’t look fresh. Need new management n cooks! I have to stop coming here because I’ve been let down too many times.

I can't put my finger on it but there is something missing in the taste of these meals. It all looks good. Authentic jamaican food, fresh, medium rare cooked, and very litely seasoning. Needs more prep time and marinating to get seasoning to the bone. On the other side, the restaurant is roomy, clean, prices are prominently posted but they hate giving up your receipt. Staff is helpful and ready to serve. No cards, strictly cash transactions only!!!

I have been coming to this location for years, and I have never been disappointed until today. I requested a large order of the oxtail dinner. The young lady gave me a very generous amount of rice and cabbage. I didn’t want any plantain. However, she gave me FIVE small pieces of oxtail. For a large dinner!? I expressed my disappointment and another woman came over to say that she couldn’t give me any more WITHOUT opening my platter to confirm what was inside. Please realize that your customers have other options in New York City. Quality customer service, especially during a pandemic will add to the longevity of your establishment.

A place I recommend for Jamaican home style food.I come here all the time on my lunch and appreciate it’s Great friendly staff. My usual favorite is the Oxtails with rice peas and gravy with a side of Mac. Or the curry chicken with gravy and white rice. Its much more food that’s good as I’m still trying new stuff.The food taste doesn’t change ,it stays the same and that’s why I still go back. There are Long lines sometimes at lunch time but it’s an in and out breeze.
