Dejavu Restaurant

It was such a pleasure to celebrate my birthday in Dejavu. The owner was very patient with my requests and my vision for my party. The prices were reasonable and the food portions were more than enough. My guests were also very satisfied. The interior design of the place was eye catching and I am glad I was able to capture such beautiful photos with family and friends. The waiters were very attentive to my guests (which was a big plus!) I have no complaints. Emil, thank you so much for the positive experience, the delicious food, and the live music! I had an amazing time!!!

My family, I and my friends met for my birthday party at Dejavu. About 35 people. Unlike more other Russian restaurants in the area, the place is very quiet. They have live music but not loud, which is very important to me. Nice tasteful decor. The food was very well cooked and nicely presented. Great service, staff is professional and polite. We had a wonderful evening.

Finding the Dejavu Restaurant a number of years ago gave me a chance to visit the old neighborhood which I had been away from for many a year. My wife and I immediately fell in love with the place.Decor is authentic which I continue to appreciate after all these years. The staff continues to be terrific. We love to chat with them but they know when to leave you to your meal. They're good at filling you in on the details of the menu. The food is great. Owner/chef takes what seems to be standard fare adds his twists and touches and turns his offerings into something special. It's really the total package when it comes to a dining experience. And a pretty fair price I might add. That experience carries through to the Dejavu's catering and banquets. My daughter got married in the Dejavu. It was an absolutely wonderful event.We visit the Dejavu regularly even though we reside in the Downtown/Manhattan where there is an abundance of restaurants.

Emil is very welcome person, but he did not stay during the party. It seems that he cooked at the morning and left for the evening time. Only manager/ waiter and two more waiters were helping us. Food was tasty but cold. We had feelings that food was wormed up before gets to the table. Even coffee and tea was not hot enough. Waiters were serving drinks very well. However, platos with food ( besides the food that was already stayed on a tables from beginning of the party) they just place on the few high stands and did not even made attempts to serve people. They stayed in a position of security guard. When I told them that guests could not reach it, they politely helped just me. So, I would not say that service was good in comparison to other restaurants. We respect any job and gave tips anyway. However, Service staff has to be better trained, to have people to come back.
