New establishment and new ownership. What made this spot uniquely special, was the atmosphere. The familial setting that you desperately crave as a foreigner in the city. Thank you Franklin. My experience walking into your shop was special. Cuisine: Rice was healthy, fresh and colorful. I’m not one to enjoy rice but this felt and tasted like a homemade meal. If you can nail the basics, then I certainly trust what they’re capable of here. I will happily recommend this establishment to all friends and family. -Diana Castro

Skip the new chichi places in the neighborhood and experience authentic Latin American soul food from this local stalwart. The cooks are courteous, accessible, and will cook anything anyway you want. The portions are generous and the prices are affordable. There are tasty vegetarian dishes options too.

We tried this place based on the ratings. It did not exceed our expectations. The food was set up buffet style but cold. We were sold large portions. The beef was tough and the chicken was dry. It was not seasoned to my expectations. I felt robbed even though I left a tip. The staff was very nice. But we were not greeted. They also wore no gloves.

Placed my order. The person on the phone kept getting my address and phone number incorrect. Then she said she finally had it right. I I'm only a few blocks away from the restaurant. It took me an hour to get my food because she STILL had the address and phone number wrong, and the driver went to the wrong address and was calling the wrong number. He finally got it right after I called a few times looking for my order. After all of that, my order wasn't complete. I was missing something. The food that I DID get was mediocre at best. I will neve, ever, EVER order from them again.
